What sort of bs is that lol what does "Defenders diversity" even mean?
And to make it worse we beat them in every other stat too

it is required otherwise the map would be filled with the most annoying defenders. This prevents that, or atleast disincentivizes that.

Although it's not much of a decentivizing factor these days, south of the top. At least from what I've seen. Enchantresses, Serpent, Onslaught, Bullseye, lather, rinse, repeat.

We frequently win on diversity in gold 3. 1 missed diversity is equal to full attack bonus. If every player places those defenders just go for boss and you should win.

What sort of bs is that lol that your alliance just puts the same defender on every node.

Are you actually asking what does the Points Category of “Defender Diversity” mean, and how does it translate into points ?? (and does it matter just within each BG, or across all BG's ? **the 1st one)

Or do you know what it means and how to get points, but you just disagree with how much it is weighted now ?

For each unique defender you place you gain 240 points, the equivalent of 3 Attack Bonus. You should be trying to max out your diversity points by having 50 different defenders per BG.

Good to know wasn't aware had multiple same champs in there. We're a chill alliance others didn't know either I just thought it was funny

No wasn't aware you get punished for having a few of the same champs in AW defense. I never noticed we had. No problem with the loss

Defender diversity dates way way back to when Kabam was first trying to make adjustments to alliance war: it has been in there for years, although it has been tweaked here and there (most recently its points contribution was significantly increased).

The idea is not to punish alliances for repeating defenders, but to reward alliances willing to place more diverse defenders, although of course in a competition any advantage for one side can be seen as a disadvantage for the other side.

When Defender Diversity was introduced a huge problem with War was roadblocking. A single tough defender could stop an entire alliance in their tracks if they couldn't defeat it, and before alliance war revives were made essentially free it was impractical for all but the biggest spenders to attempt to spend past a strong defender. The idea was an alliance that happened to have a few of the toughest defenders couldn't just shut the opponent down completely. Not only do you lose when you get roadblocked, but you also can fall way behind in season points because you can't even clear the map.

Defender diversity is probably less important than in was in the past, but it is still generally considered a reasonable part of the meta. Smart placement with heterogenous defenders should have an advantage over monotonous placement.

It means that it doesn't matter if you finally put your hands on that one champ Kabam released that is super broken on defense, if someone already placed them, you can't place it. Good luck ranking up champs that other player don't have or use already
