Valiant Gauntlet EQ

I just wanna say this is one of the best side quest Kabam has created. The rewards are great. The fights are challenging enough, but not too difficult, but not too hard. It allows me to use many champs. I don’t usually use.

Please don’t change a thing.

Where is this? I did not see this in my crystal stash.

Definitely agree. I’m a fan. That crystal is cause you duped a 6* who was at max sig. it should be in the first tab of crystals.

You had 6* Hood at max sig already; he's one of the rewards for the completion.

I feel the exact opposite way . It’s way way way too long and the constant mandatory need to change champs is annoying . If the rewards were better maybe I would be intrigued but a mere 3k 6shards and a measly 1k Titan shards ? No thanks . And I get that there are hardcore gamers who love spending hours on the game but I am not one of them

One way this could be massively improved is if they don’t lock our champions in . If you can still stay in valiant while using your champs in every other aspect of the game including paragon and thronebreaker difficulties . This will way both the casual and the hardcore players will be happy

There's multiple things they need to change, but this was a great start.
The copy and paste node choices were odd and slowed things down on some quests, especially when considering how many different champs you had to use.
If you used a tech that didn't crit you were slowed down, which means you lost out on a lot of fun champs and had to go further down into the weaker end of the roster, slowing things down a bit more.
The mutant quest that gave you no option to gain prowess outside of a champs ability had the same problem. Either slow yourself down with prowessless champs, or pull out weaker champs.
The cosmic quest requiring relics to gain power, another slow down in a climate where they've stopped giving us relics. So your options are no specials or swap relics around a bunch.
None of this was a roadblock that prevented clearing content, but it did slow it down in an unpleasant way. None of these are bad nodes, but they are bad when the requirement is 15 different champs to clear the path. It wasn't a challenge in the slightest, but it felt very slow at points. It also felt like I was fighting 30% of the time while swapping champs and going through portals the other 70%. Quicker than any EQ, but felt like progress was slow.

All that being said, my overall feelings toward this are positive. It is a great step in the right direction and gives me hope for a less monotonous and more rewarding EQ for the future. Rewards were on par for where the content is, I just hope they add a little more challenge and remove a bit of the parts that slow you down.

I'd prefer all 15 of the nodes being mostly the same because I can look at one fight and know who I want to bring for the whole quest. Making them different could really slow you down and you'd have the same issue of it going slow, like the first 5 are armor up parries, and the 6th fight is the crit one we saw, but you didn't notice you were there and brought guardian. I'm for less complexity in the fights.
Not a roadblock so far, but I agree. Shifting nodes midway can be surprising.

I found a trick to mutant and gain fury. When you knock down, always keep a special on hand so when you are unblockable, you use the special

I don't see any reason to change nodes at any point throughout the quest. If anything that will only make things take longer. But they can also build out nodes where the entire class has an opportunity to benefit more than they did with half of the nodes here. Nothing was a roadblock, nothing was difficult, but there were annoying and useless slowdowns that can be avoided.

Great job Kabam! I really enjoyed the Valiant EQ and the rewards. Please keep this as a monthly EQ event. Thank you very much :)

My only road block was using Omega red against Magneto. I forgot that he's metal. That was a painful fight. This made me plan ahead on all the other paths. Lesson learn. I like the nodes being the same so I don't have to keep reading different nodes all the time. I like it the way it current is.

I had a similar experience in that quest, but it was against OG Gully. For some reason I was thinking her pain link damaged you for physical damage, and took Storm PX into that fight. Not fun watching all my health melting away and hoping hers would tick away faster than mine was.

Two things I like to change.

    1. Healing gates like in incursions every second or third fight would make things less frustrating.
    2. It would be good to be able at the beginning to strategize and make a “campaign plan” assigning champs from your roster to each fight. You can still do that offline, but a in game tool would be much more convenient

Agree! And I love the same nodes throughout the chapter because it makes a little easier to get through it faster. And you don’t get stuck having to start over if you picked the wrong champ. The nodes change from chapter to chapter that’s good enough.
