Off season will start in 5 hrs or so but still no new map or nodes. Will this be updated before then. While my ally has had everyone place the top ten (in our opinion) toughest defenders..they may not be the toughest defenders for the nodes. Can we get a response sooner than later please? Thanks
U guys are crazy. Changing war which no one wanted and now 1h30min before the first offseason war the map is bugged and there is still no announcement. Also the wrong solo Event is launched. What the hell are u cooking? U do something useless and obviously arent ready for it either.

Probably because the last 2 times they made updates to the maps they didn’t freeze war rating making teams win/lose war rating in one that shouldn’t count, which can have huge ramifications to teams on the edge of a war tier.

Hey all. I understand the risk aversion from the group of players currently playing high tier war. I would just ask you all to give it a chance. Right now we only have it planned for one season, we don't have it penciled in for any future seasons at this time. Let's give it a try and see how it goes.
You say nobody is asking for changes to AW, but actually lots of players are asking for changes to AW. The people playing in T1 are the survivors of the current system, which is a very small part of the player base. As someone else in this thread mentioned, this might be better for lower tier alliances. If that's the case, we might end up in a future where top tiers play the existing format and lower tiers play this one. This is just an example, but nothing is set in stone yet.
So again, give it a chance and if it doesn't work, we won't bring it back. Part of trying to make the game more exciting means we have to be able to experiment now and then.

I did "give it a try" and it sucked. I took a 9 million health defender in 1 minute because the interactions between defender, node, attacker, were giving me super easy access to crazy damage boost. Just from a first glance I can see a few interactions where the attacker can't gain access to damage boost, making the fight a roadblock. I don't understand how this could not be foreseen. I also don't understand how this would encourage less experienced and less knowledgeable players to be more engaged in this mode. I can see players getting roadblocked because they failed to see an interaction or didn't understand the phrasing of the node. With "normal" health pools like usual aw map where a path fight has maybe 250-350k health in most cases you can somehow get the defender down even if you don't have a good counter, even if you have to spam revives. You can at least clear. With 9-12 million health pool range, I can see some cases where defender just won't go down. At the same time, when you do have the right counter for that placement, the fight is so trivial it's almost as fast as an arena fight. My average fight time on my aq lane is 1 min-1,5 mins. And I have to take maybe 15-18 fights dunno exactly. How does that make sense? I think you guys should take this idea of yours and apply this to aq. Place a defender of your choice on a node of your choice and then give us a pool of attackers to pick from. And we take that one fight down and that's aq done. Can definitely make it a longer fight than 1 minute fight. That's awesome improvement for aq. And while you're working on this, give us back real aw please and thank you!!!
The interesting thing of the original AW is diversity and complexity, everyone knows the only problem is potion and rewards, now Kabam wants to reinvent the wheel.

Yes don’t listen to vocals - this is great! Thought I could intercept domino with ghost and got smoked but then got her in one more try with WT (solo on the placebo node). Making war more like raids is a fantastic idea!

Dude I typed AQ as in ALLIANCE QUEST. This 1 minute fight doesn't cut it for aw. Nor does it when the fight is undoable lol
There was discussion here after initial announcement, whether or not you could do more than 1 node each, Maybe up to 5 nodes (assuming only forward traveling portals).
Well, the portals ALL allow you to go to ANY other island. So you could actually have a single person do all 10 defenders. (at least, that's what it looks like to me)

Not all tiers. I could only go to the end node after doing my 1 fight.

1) Mind numbingly mundane, and easier than my AQ fights, or
2) Straight up roadblocks which no champ in the game can counter effectively
I can totally see how this makes war more fun and engaging and enjoyable for players in every tier.
You're out of your mind, Kabam. Whoever in there still thinks there is any merit to this new war format needs therapy.

I read REGEN, but didn’t realize they would be Regen'ing at over 100,000 HP each half-second tick. Ughh.
