I want some clarity about ascending champions

Hi guys, just curious, the ascension bonus of 20% health and Attack, is it same amount for both 6 star R1 and 6 star R5 champion? I mean it says it increases the attack and health by 20% so, does it ascend based on the current value of the champ states or maximum value of the champ states?




Will his ascension value is same as (his max states) 6 star R5 or it reduces to (current) 6 star R3???

    If you know that you will eventually take the champ to rank 5, ascending at a lower rank will give a bonus now and it will grow as you rank. End result is the same but, can use the additional bonus as you grow champ
