Who else already had their kabam account connected to twitch and didn't get drops

I love how the post was blaming users for not being able to claim drops because we are the ones who didn't connect our kabam and twitch accounts. My accountt has been connected since they started doing drops, and I've gotten them before. But the last 3 streams kabam issues prevented me and obviously many others from getting the drops. Maybe don't blame your players for not having their accounts set up properly to get drops when that's clearly not the issue.

Raise your hand if your kabam and twitch accounts were ALREADY connected and you didn't get drops. 🙋‍♂️

    Clearly we do since Kabam's engineers according to their post said the most common reason people didn't get drops is people's accounts weren't connected.

    This shows that my twitch account is linked to my mcoc account

    It's just that either twitch is bugged or Kabam's side is bugged

    Pretty sure it has something to do with Gleam - ever since they made us also connect that to Twitch, the drops have been failing miserably

    I called them lazy because there no way a major game company can have the same issue persist 3 times in a row. Its been 2 months now. We players invest our time to watch the stream for the rewards. The least they can do is make sure that the rewards are working and obtainable.

    No, those worked. Case-sensitive, from what I saw. "MCOC" didn't work all capitalized. I suspect in some cases, the issue might have been not having your Account connected to the store.

    My account has been properly connected this whole time. Only recently have I stopped receiving drops. I got zero from this most recent stream and only 1 drop from the stream before that. The problem is not on my end, it’s either with Kabam or Twitch. My guess is it’s on Kabam’s end, otherwise we’d be hearing about a Twitch drops not working across the board with different games.

    It seems like all the problems started when Kabam messed up the daylight savings time with the drops. It’s had been completely broken since that event.

    The first time it "failed" was in the April 04 Livestream, this was not a real fail nor bug and entirely my fault for not scheduling it properly due to the Daylight savings change. This surfaced a few problems in that I was scheduling it way too close to the launch unnecessarily and not allowing sufficient padding in the event there could be issues. So we comp'ed and looked forward to the future!

    So in that, the solve was to just schedule it many hours in advance and keep it on beyond 24 hours. This was also to solve another pain point in that viewers who couldn't make it exactly at the live show time from beginning to end couldn't complete their drops, so we introduced in the May livestream, Live Looping.

    Unfortunately in the May 2nd Livestream, the issue of players getting partial drops or not at all after claimed was the actual first time there was a wide functional issue like this. Again we comp'ed and our team got right on it and made some changes. However, May was an outlier month in that we had a mid month livestream as well so we tried again. Now, albeit better than the last time for many, there was still a significant number of people that had issue, which we addressed in our post about the Drops and Kabam ID.

    I don't mind taking responsibility for shortcomings, but to suggest a problem just over 3 weeks old is actually 3 months old and that this team is just being lazy is not something I'm willing to concede.

    I'm not often lazy.. but when I am.. It definitely looks like solving issues and testing new solutions and providing compensation..

    People complaining had nothing to do with it. People complain about lots of things, doesn't mean we just give things away based on that metric. We asked players to come watch our streams and earn drops.. They earned them, but didn't receive them. The only right thing to do there was to compensate and make sure people got what they earned.
    If people didn't complain about not getting drops, you guys wouldn't know that there was an issue with drops is my point. From the post earlier that said it's mostly user error, it seemed the kabam assumption was for this last stream, the drops didn't work not because something was broken, but because people didn't have their accounts properly linked. That's my point. The fact that the community complained about not being able to receive drops (and probably NOT due to accounts not being correctly connected) led to you guys giving out a code because it's clear there was a more widespread issue that didn't have to do with the account connections.

    I didn’t get any drops this last stream, but got them all the stream before. My account is definitely linked. Given the prevailing thought that the issue is caused by non linked accounts, has proven incorrect, I hope that the real cause of the drops not working has been found out and the fix has been put in place.
