Damage has been scaled up in line with defender health pool, itβs still a 5 minute timer. Basically makes it 1 standard aw fight per war. Not a fan tbh.
I definitely see the split between the casual player who loves it because itβs low effort for the rewards.
If you really donβt care about wars why wouldnβt you be happy about doing 12 fights a month to get a full seasons rewards. Itβs just basically free stuff, because who cares if you win/lose.
Itβs horrible for competitive war players, who have invested time, effort, and even money to build rosters for the war meta. For those who love the strategy, who thrive in the team competition, etc.
Iβm perfectly fine with this being a new game mode, seems acceptable and in that context Iβm good with it. The problem is this is not war, everything other than team vs team that made war, war has been removed.
In higher tier wars itβs going to be 0 death fastest time wins, and thatβs not how this should be.
Unfortunately even for one season this can affect our war ratings that weβve worked so hard to build, and could force us to cut good players who donβt fight for speed. Lock the war ratings for this βtest seasonβ and Iβm more than ok giving it a fair shot and evaluation, but everything we work so hard to achieve should not be on the line for this.
War is awesome if you're in the low-mid tiers where you can take more than 1 fight per person. My r4 Peni cleared half of the entire map. Was a lot of fun.
Do you know where this changes? I was only able to play 1 fight in tier 3.
My guess is tier 5 when you start having defense tactics normally.
You can only take 1 fight in tier 5. Must be even lower.

I was very skeptical about this new format when they announced it, but I'd be lying if I say I'm not enjoying this! 5 minutes and I'm done with war. I usually don't bother playing off-season at all, but this is seriously fun!
I'm really enjoying it so far, I don't have to spend two hours assigning 90 attackers across all three BGs and then assigning paths as well every single war, I really like this new concept, it's not perfect but I like it.
Kabam just totally killed a war with this change. You guys are saying about a not spending a lot of time for a war, so maybe u will take fun for just getting a big rewards per month? Also now players have to level-up just one champion for defense, that means kabam will just lose a lot of donates, because people needs just 1 max rank champ for defense and 1-2 for attack, soooo stupid.

It is for 1 season also if they make this change perm they already said they would leave high tier wars the same and only impliment this for lower tier wars
I like the change. Only 2 problematic tiles, which they have attempted to address.
Tile 1 is very limiting on who works. Photon or Bullseye there, and it's gonna be painful and long fight. Saga can make it not as long, but not any decent options for them there.
Tile 3, and I think this has been mentioned elsewhere, but attuma on that node is gonna be a nightmare. Onslaught can do it, but no damage boost. Just Onslaught taking 10M health pool.
Again, I like this change. Keeps it from being stale. Let's just keep working on the nodes.
