Cosmic 3-4 gem advice

I just finished epoch 100% and I pulled a cosmic gem from it. I like most of these options but the new endgame content seems to have a chance to get serpent duped as well so idk if I should hold off on it or not

DThanos is great but probably my least favorite of the bunch to use, he’s doing great on defense as a r3 now for me in BG so idk if I need the r4 here. The others are all great but I’d have to use a generic on Medusa for her to go to r4. No cosmic champs in the Titan that I wanna r4 so I don’t think I need to hold off for that

Medusa (generic AG)

Medusa is super fun and is a very great defender, gets less banned than serpent. If opponent doesn't draft a counter (which are very few actually) it's a guaranteed win, if opponent drafts a counter you can simply use her on attack, unlike serpy. Definitely worth a generic too imo if you don't have units saved for j4, which likely have another banquet selector.

I'd go with either Thanos or Serpent personally but I'm a bit more biased towards Thanos because of how strong of a dual threat he is.
Medusa I didn't even consider because even though she is a really good attacker I don't think she's a good defender except for some very specific metas. Anything with neutralize nullify or literally any mystic utility that deals with buffs just turns her into rol ws, and even others like Chavez and Red Goat can nuke her cause their damage comes from heavy attacks mainly and she can't auto block those.

Serpent just gonna get banned unless they have the counters which would have been inevitable (hope you got that reference) anyway. Medusa is a solid dual threat duped as well since you said you don’t really like playing DThanos - he rips tho

That’s my plan with serpent! I always ban him so my thought was if they ban him instead I can use my ban on something else haha

You can get stalled out but the issue is she has way too many counters unlike other hard stallers like Man-Thing or Thing, not only in the mystic class but outside of it too I've taken her down with Titania and Chee'ilth too aside from the other two I mentioned.

You can get stalled out but the issue is she has way too many counters unlike other hard stalkers like Man-Thing or Thing, not only in the mystic class but outside of it too I've taken her down with Titania and Chee'ilth too aside from the other two I mentioned.

But she is a nuke unlike them so if opponent drafts a counter you can use her on attack and put up very good scores.

Medusa is an insane attacker too, and her sig is also a great failsafe. Saved me so many times

I'm aware she's a nuke, but I'd still pick Thanos or Serpent over her because of how much content they can do apart from being meta relevant in BGs. Medusa is great but those two are above her fore still.

Yeah I'll definitely pick dthanos up too, but she don't like him it seems. Serpy is good but is going to get banned all the time, atleast medusa sees the light once or twice.

Serpent is just as good on attack as he is a defender

That’s true idk why, Thanos is fantastic but he’s just not really my type of champ. I always stick him on defense and he does good at r3, maybe I should try him on offense more

Cosmic was always a tough choice cause there’s so many great options. The only issue rn is the generic, maybe I’ll hold the 3-4 gem for a bit and see what happens when the Titan resets. If I get Yelena or something I’d probably want to give her the generic but idk yet

If not it seems like Serpent or Medusa will be going up
