This thread is so cringe. Valiants getting upset about something that has no effect on them other than their need to feel special about being Valiant, which is just sad....
Yeah, for real, its not like valiants are getting less rewards from paragons being able to play idk what the need is for them to complain all they want is to feel special by a game
No that's the exact problem, Why are Paragons ALSO getting the same rewards? The fact that they can get same rewards like Valaint is the problem.
Both progression are not the same and never will be. This "Paragon+ rewards" garbage has went on for too long.
This thread is so cringe. Valiants getting upset about something that has no effect on them other than their need to feel special about being Valiant, which is just sad....
It completely undermines the point of reaching valiant: To have the ability to receive the best rewards. I’m not upset that paragons will get great rewards, happy for them. But what was the point of grinding and completing difficult content if I can just access it at a lower progression level?
I guess I just don't understand why anyone feels special about being Valiant at this point. Doing EoP 100%, earning radiance through GC grind, stuff like that is what sets end-game players from lower level players. Being Valiant? It's like someone bragging about having a college degree. Maybe it was impressive a long time ago, but now it's completely meaningless...
There's never been anything special about being Valiant and that's kinda the issue that people have. The whole point of pushing for progression was to get increased rewards which in turns makes the lower tiers want to push as well and yet, valiant has been in the game for over two years and not once has the title felt like it has the highest rewards as they are constantly tied in with paragons and even thronebreakers.
And again, in grand scheme of things this doesn't actually matter as it doesn't affect valiants at all. But I think this one erks people because it finally felt like kabam were gonna flesh out the title and make it seem like something and then they just do what they've done for the past two years and lump them in with everyone else again straight away.
When I became Paragon last December, my alliance mates encouraged me to push forward to Valiant in order to get the 10 free 7s and also the Valiant New Year's gift, and it was definitely worth it. So when you say "not once has the title felt like it has the highest rewards as they are constantly tied in with paragons and even thronebreakers", how can Kabam take this thread seriously? It literally sounds like something an overly emotional teenager would say to their mom when they can't get the latest iPhone or designer shoes or something.
For the last few months, people have been clamoring for there to be a Valiant EQ in order to get worthwhile EQ rewards, and also for the Paragon Gauntlet to not require 100% exploration of the TB EQ. I was down with those suggestions (who wouldn't be?), and Kabam listened and delivered on both fronts.
But the emotional teenagers are never satisfied, and now their feelings are hurt because they don't feel exclusive enough because other kids might also get to benefit a little (and I hope the complainers in this thread are actual teenagers and not grown adults, yikes...)
Your one example of valiant only rewards isn't even true as paragons also got 10 free 7*s. So not only did you waste your time pushing for valiant when you did you also proved my point that we are all lumped in together for rewards so thanks for that big man 👍
No, you missed my point. By becoming Paragon and then pushing even further to Valiant, I got both the 10 7s (which TBs didn't get) and the Valiant New Year's gift (which Paragons didn't get).
And that's just one example. There are multiple others, like different Daily Super Event rewards for Valiant, Paragon, and TBs.

Yeah we Valiants are just like that, Gatekeeping, If Paragons wants Valiant level rewards then why not they stop snoozing around and go do some story content and Necro-10, Epoch?
If it's open for all then what's the point of progression? Remove all titles and bundle everyone together, that'll be fair yes?
I'm seeing low progressions on reddit with multiple 7s, players doing nerfed Act 6 with a full team of 7R3s, etc. So yes, progressions have lost meaning to a large extent, and getting worked up over this Valiant EQ issue is pretty silly. As most people say, we need the next progression. Something like "Radiant", requiring 100% EoP exploration, at least 4 R4s, and a Quantum finish in GC.

You were encouraged to progress further by the pull of those extra rewards in the daily and the Xmas gift, which is how it should be. Top progression gets top rewards to encourage those below to progress as fast as possible to also get them.
Therefore paragons shouldn't be able to do valiant eq so they are encouraged to get valiant ASAP. We shouldn't be rewarding people who choose to stand still.

You’ve stumbled into exactly why exclusivity of rewards are important. It makes you work to get the next and best title. I’m not saying they always do this. However, they often lump valiant with other progression levels rewards wise, or let lower progression levels do the difficultly titled valiant difficulty. I get why they are doing it now, to get data, but it sets an odd precedent moving forward

I was making a point about rewards and events at large. I read Crashed’s comment and I understand why they are doing it this go round. Before his comments, I just assumed the valiant eq was going to be open to paragons permanently. yea i get what your trying to say and honestly half of their decsions confuse me aswell.
Allowing paragons to play valiant gauntlet doesn't mean paragons will have an easy time getting through, in fact weak paragons are very likely to get stuck towards the end when they run out of strong champions of that class
If they can get through the valiant EQ then they have the skill and prowess to become valiant

I agree with you that there should always be incentives for progression in the game, and that Kabam can do a better job on that front at this point.
I just don't think that's implicated in this context. Who are these lazy Paragons who were going to become Valiant but stopped because they can now do Valiant EQ?
I mean, we also have people complaining that there isn't a Valiant monthly deal in the webstore. Even though a lot of those same people also complain every time Kabam puts something valuable behind a paywall.
I don't want a monthly Valiant deal because I don't need my competition to have more ways to get valuable resources via spending.
I never heard of players who pay for champs or resources complain about f2p getting some of them. Meanwhile we have people who are f2p trying to gatekeep monthly quest resources. 7 stars are not a valiant thing anymore, even paragons have them and they need resources to advance to the next title, this is one way of buffing their resources.
Lmao, you think this is about 7 stars? You realize there is TIER 7 BASIC in those rewards right? The catalyst that grants access to the highest rank of 7 star currently available in the game?
Not to mention awakening gem shards, an extremely high value item, a full 6 star relic, and more. These aren’t rewards paragons normally have access to.
Oh this new generation of players making up alliance mates encouraging them to do things, presenting dissociative behavior, pretending that everything goes around their own experience. Talking nonsense about people asking for a new EQ for "months"... I guess it is true it is months for someone who likes to make his own narrative. I mean he made up people encouraging him to become Valiant so why wouldn't 3+ years be just a few 36 months or so?
We have said a number of times, this content is experimental. The reason we decided to open it up to Paragon players this month is because we are considering giving them access to this format (not the same tuning or rewards as Valiant, but the same format) when we launch the autoscaling system. We didn't have time to produce another quest, so we decided we could collect some data by giving them access to this one.
It's also worth noting this setup is better for Valiant players. Had we produced a tuned down version of this content, it would have replaced the current Paragon gauntlet, meaning those rewards would have been a lot more work than they currently are for Valiant players.

Some people complain just to complain. Oh how miserable your life must be… put down the game and get perspective. Take a walk in fresh air… connect with someone IRL… stop obsessing over meaningless issues.
Nothing bad will happen to you when paragon gets access. The earth won’t tilt, the heavens won’t rain brimstone, life as we know it won’t end.
