So...3 Exclusive Champs every 3 Months behind (essentially) paywall

Each Saga is around 3 months (with the exception of Deathless Saga being 4).
For each Saga, there are,
1 Double Track champ (usually good but not OP),
1 Eidol (Lumatrix seem amazing duel threat),
1 Big Sale event with exclusive champ (last was Dark Phoenix an OP, "must have" Def for competitive mode.
For next Saga we have
1 Double Track - Cap British - Look like she is designed for Def
1 Eidol chase
1 (assuming) HT as the last bundle in July 4th Sale event.
All of these champs are mainly behind paywall (or grinding your life away for units).
Double Track champs (usually good but not OP) will appear in Titan so obtainable in 6 months, ok fair enough.
Eidols will be available in Basic Pool, but no one know when (at least 6 months or more).
Exclusive Sale champs which seem to be OP so far, availability unknown.
I do want Kabam to do really well as a company and with good cashflow, but is this getting too much?
Radiance is the highly chase currency that only available in competitive mode. With so of the most OP champs available behind paywall (essentially), which impacts the competitive mode.
If this trend continues would it divide the players based too much?
Would like to hear your thought.

So we are in May and already have 5 essentially paywall champs.
That's the reality
I just questioning the balance of it all.
Between a light spender (or FTP) and a big spender are:-
1 awaken Dark Phoenix OP Def - with rank up material and sig (plus much higher change of getting 5 OP/Strong champs from HoF)
1 Lumatrix - Very strong duel threat
1 HT - OP Attacker
1 Red Guardian - OP nuke
And some good champs
All that around 5 months, that is a big gap.
Just like there is Glory and Loyalty crystal.
Also no roadmap as to when exclusivity ends is terrible.
Previous equivalent was normal phoenix.
So it's:
1. Saga Chase Champ
2. Double Track Champ
3. Eidol Chase Champ
4. Sale Champ
If the intent is to burn all but the whaliest Summoners out on chasing champs, then I think it’s working.
Also: The addition of new champs no one asked for (Eidols) as chase champs coupled with the glacial cadence for champ evaluation and buff feels like a significant misstep.
Dr. Zola
75 plumes to fight her and get a 7
150 if you want the dupe...
One ftp player will not even consider to play haha
But Whales will do this to get as soon as possible. And streamers too. To show they're still relevant to their audience.
FTP can have fun at some extent. We dont care to wait for some of these champs over 1 year or more and pay with units we hoard.
If you try to think Kabam have the rights to make some profit, you will understand everything and chill
While I understand the reason (running out of old champions*), and understand that 5/6 new champions is better odds than 4/6 new champions, it does also increase the gap (spenders can spend to get more Titans and so can get and dupe more relevant champions before non-spenders have the access).
*And now, we can see that the "running out of old champions" wasn't specifically about not having enough old champions to add to the Titan, but rather that Kabam wanted to reserve these old champions for chase/paywalls.
Lol
I get and appreciate as a spender getting exclusive access to these toys but there should be an expiry date on non-trophy champion exclusivity that’s more upfront.
They frequently comment on threads and talk about the game being unfair when they haven’t even crossed the first half of it, acting like you’re already up there with valiants and commenting on game modes that you haven’t even attempted is stupid
Like it or not
Forums arent only for Valiants
Everything else you can just take at your own pace lmao. I do think the monetization has gotten a little out of hand recently with a lot of stuff back to back but it’s a gacha game, that’s like playing league and expecting players to be respectful
