A couple of thoughts on the up-coming Everest content:
If it weren't the hardest piece of content, why bother making it?
Also - The content may be harder, but are you running it with 7*r1s (like Necropolis) and 7*r2-3s? (like Epoch?) - Or are you mostly going to be using r3-r4s?
Yes, rewards should be, in some way, significant; but if they're too good, then (1) rewards inflation becomes a real problem, and (2) running and completing the Wheel of Fate becomes almost a requirement for competitive players; instead of an option. Is that what we want?
This is permanent, challenging content. Ultimately the best thing for the game is if it is a rewarding challenge, but not a necessary one. Best if people don't run the content for the amazing rewards: they run the content for exactly the same reason people climb Everest- because it's there.
Rewards inflation already is/will be a problem with how easy it is for some players to get t7b once AW / AQ have radiance. This content gives a single r4 but you can already get that from 1-2 months of getting radiance. Given that they put such a large number of t7b available for purchase there , the rank 4 rewards from Wheel of Fate are going to get outdated very quick.
Hence why i can never understand the people that try to defend saying "we havent seen it yet", anytime content had strict champion gates it was usually more on the difficult side Just think back to those EOP gauntlet challenges that had you using some of the worst champs like rogue, scarlet witch etc
#robot against Abs Man, pretty sure that was a thing.

Yeah but this is relegated to 7-stars only, and they’ve mostly (mostly!) avoided bad champs in the pool.
The design concept here (that I’m somewhat confident in) is the tags narrowing the pool as you go. Quest one will include tons of options for a smooth clear. Two will be moderately difficult. Three might have some fights where your only option is revive through it.

You say that like the heart of fire event that made whales nearly unbeatable, never happened.
Folks, there is no way that FAM, Maestro, Spidey, etc. will be in the selector.
There's no way Maestro will be there because he's only available from necro. So is Deathless Thanos (from the mausoleum). If they were in the selector, then players wouldn't have to do Necro or the Deathless content to earn those champs
It should give more rewards especially said it's tougher than epoch. The awakening gem should be generic I think that fix most stuff
And yeah, definitely more sig stones, atleast 100 generics or 200 crystals
Not to bring up an old thread but the effort this quest takes after finally seeing it now makes reaffirms the idea that these rewards are pretty lackluster for the effort it takes. I agree that we needed some sig stones and a generic gem to actually make the quest worthwhile. At least Necro had a titan, r3, and mastery point when it came out so there was actually a reason to take on the challenge

This is not really old, just 5 days, stoll very relevant.
I completely agree and to add, necro is actually fun. This quest is the antonym of fun.
