I don’t understand, shouldn’t players think from the perspective of other players?

So what if they use other unofficial clients? They also don't use cheats, don't violate other rules, and play games seriously. Why can't some players on this forum have some empathy and try to understand the distress and confusion of the banned players?
Do you have to say something that would make the person whose account was banned feel even more uncomfortable?
It’s not just the accounts that are banned, isn’t it also their youth that is banned?
Don't you have any allies? If your allies are banned for no reason, won't you be anxious? Don't you have sympathy?

If they want to continue playing then they should start a new account and play without violating the terms.
Otherwise this is just complaining about what they signed up for when they first started
You broke the TOS, it just took them this long to catch you. It doesn’t mean you are innocent.

When someone says they should only ban people when they actually cheat, that's like saying banks should allow people to wander around in the bank vaults and teller stations, sift through the cash, and only stop them if they actually try to leave with money in their pockets. That's asking for too much. They have to stop players from using tools that make it extremely difficult to catch cheating, even if those players aren't cheating. There's no way to be certain those players aren't cheating, and we can't just take their word for it.
I do in fact have sympathy for players who side load the game because circumstances make it impossible for them to download through authorized channels. However, it is also important to note that Kabam didn't just straight up ban everyone. According to their announcement, a bunch of people were banned permanently. Some were temporarily banned and/or given warnings. Players have come forward to state they were either perma banned or temp banned, so we know both kinds of bans went out. This wasn't done randomly. Some players who were using these unauthorized clients drew warnings or short term bans. The rest got perma banned. There's likely to be a very good reason Kabam had for deciding which players were permanently kicked. It wasn't just for side loading the game client.

It’s one of those “it is what it is” situations.
If you received a 7 day ban for using an unauthorised channel to access the game, and after the 7 days you are still unable to use an authorised channel to access the game - well, as of right now, we can only presume what will happen.
DNA sympathy, along with others, is aimed at those who play via unauthorised channels as their only means to, but do so “legitimately”.
We aren’t going to raise our pitchforks and march on Kabam headquarters for you, or even with you. But that doesn’t mean we can’t / don’t understand your plight.
If there was a way to restore those people’s access to the game that did not compromise the game, I would advocate for it. But I cannot think of a practical option.
