  Some mystics are unique and punish buffs rather than remove them. Mordo gains more attack if an opponent has at least one buff and so does Chavez, as an example. It’s useful against champs like red skull who are immune to nullify stagger and fateseal

  The mystic class gains an advantage against champions that have buffs. Whether that's through nullify, neutralize, or through smacking them harder the more buffs they have, that is the mystic way. The mystic class isn't the buff removal class, it's the buff punishing class.

  Is onslaught even a real mutant? He doesn't gain prowess
  Is jack even a real tech? He doesn't have armor up buffs or control power
  Is Mantis even a real skill? She doesn't place DOT.
  Is venom even a real cosmic?? Why should he be nullifying buffs?

  Mystic doesn't just mean nullify or neutralise. The current mystic class identity is in countering champions that have buffs, controlling opponents power and gaining power themselves. Chaves used the opponents buffs towards her own dimensions ramp up, reduces their ability power gain and gains power based on how many dimensions she has on the sp1.

  Not many. Venom, Venompool and Kamala Khan are three cosmic champions that can Nullify.
  
  They aren't alone: Some Science champs can Nullify (Cap Infinity War, and Thing can Nullify Unstoppable) and others can inflict Stagger (Thing, Titania, Mr Fantastic)
  
  Getting back to Chavez, she doesn't Nullify buffs because not only she can power up on them, she can also invert them. Two stacks of Utopian Parallel can reduce the Potency of Fury by -140%, effectively making them a Weakness buff.
  She can do the same with Precision, Pierce, Cruelty, and Armour Up.
  
  Why Nullify a buff when you can turn it against someone...?

  Just to clarify, Venompool don't nullify, he "om nom" one of ech unique buff, in fact he can om nom one buff from nullify or stager inmune champions (galan or the thing for example).

  Nope. Reversing power gain and regen has been a forte of science champs.
  
  Void being the really prominent one. He was the first with a petrify(regen/power gain reversal). Then CAIW, Leader, She Hulk etc.
  
  Countering power gain is a science ability because mystics have a lot of power gain

  Chavez is really 3 science champions in a trench coat then. She can reverse power gain, has an effective weakness debuff in the form of the opponents getting buffs, and she can heal. Coincidence? I think not!

  But still weak to any other form of buff control. If cosmic champions were all susceptible to Nullify then there's no room for mystic champions to grow
