Because we are tired of hearing the same **** crying kabam doesnt like pausing but says its not cheating so until they change it if they do its here score more than 15k or lose thats it i have lost to pausers you dont see me complaining i take it and move on i also beat more pausers than i lose to

Also OP post that if they lost because of skill or get outdrafted, they would be ok with it. It doesn't take much skill on a regular basis to get 15k in points. Also as you can see when the pauser actually tried in the third round, OP got outskilled and lost. So in the end, OP lost to a more skillfully player in the third round, but still complian about it.
Why are so many people here defending this behaviour… what is wrong with you? This is surely against the spirit of the game and certainly not what was intended, both in concept and delivery for players to just pause and not battle. It’s called BATTLE GROUNDS for a reason!
People aren’t defending it. We’re saying that pausing isn’t a viable strategy because you should be able to beat 15k points. If that’s the bar for winning against a pauser, then kabam is okay with that.

Some of these pausers have huge accounts. I'm low-end Valiant, small 7* roster. Matched against several pausers with a bunch of r4s that cooked me fast.I get beat by an r4 whatever and have to wait out 120 seconds for the next paused match.
BG takes up way too much time already. Especially when these boneheads run down the clock in the drafting and choosing rounds. Why even bother playing?

I had someone do that earlier so I just played defensively and only did about 15 or 20% damage to their defenders. I'd like to have seen their face 🤣
I do the same thing on 2nd round if I see a pause on 1st one I don't like to see it as "rewarding for pausing" i see it as player rewarding other player for not scoring over 15k
i used to agree with OP cuz it feels like pausers don't put any effort but still get the wins. then i realized pausers essentially lied down on their back, rolled over and gave up completely. So if you couldn't score more than 15k points against the pausers, you probably don't deserve the win anyway.
the more annoying ones are the advanced pausers. They hit a combo, then pause rest of the way. so you gotta hit like 20k points to be safe.

That depends on roster depth, rank and levels. I am fairly new Valiant. These heavy accounts that refuse to move on from VT are not necessarily as easy to beat. I don't know your account, but based on your comments on the forum, you seem to have a pretty stacked deck.

For me, it really is about time. You see these guys on reddit laughing about how they start a match and put the phone down and let the game run out the time and autopick everything or pause the match "and I still beat him! Dude must be so pissed!"

I just want to play the game, test my skill, lose some, win some and get better at playing, get more and better champs. It's why I like Arenas. I can play against your champs but not deal with you.
If I wasn't trying to help my alliance with rewards I would avoid this part of the game entirely,

you gotta realise that 15k is a horrific score and pausing more often than not puts you at a huge disadvantage

what i meant was more like how the opponent more often than not will basically let you win the match by pausing cause they're stuck to a snall fraction of the score whereas u'll score more points by nuking down the other guy but dying when they're below 50%.

That's where I stand. I don't think it's possible to penalize pausing, certainly not without causing a myriad of problems. I don't think there's an easy solution. However, I don't have much tolerance for people being rewarded for not fighting at all. As far as I'm concerned, if you don't fight, certainly by choice, you forfeit the Match.

Solution exists for everything
If after the match all stats are there
Eg...Number of hits and other things...
....Match time really played are there too and will appear without any hits...
So, if no hits during the whole match, it may be count as a forfeit for the pause abuser.
Simple
Only need to Kabam make.it.work.
At least these entire paused matches wont happen again
