Please Make the New Mode Permanent

Everything about this mode is perfect. You actually made the mode competitive by giving everyone access to the same champs without having to max them out. The only determining factor now is RNG but also your ability to come up with strategies to get the perfect hand.

Now that we have 52 fully maxed out 2 stars, I would like to see a 2 star BGs meta to see how the rankings play out when it is actually competitive and skill based.

Have you looked at how the scoring work, buddy? It’s who plays the most, not who plays the best. Although I’m sure you’re about to tell us that you’ve pioneered a strategy that guarantees 900 points every round, right?

I think the mode is fine and I’m sure some people find it to be a low-engagement alternative to arenas. But to champion it as the COMPETITIVE mode we’ve all been waiting for is just laughable.

I never said it was the competitive mode we have all been waiting for. I just said it was an actual fair competitive mode.

BGs isn't about who played the best, it's about who has the better roster and who drafted better. You can't pay your way to the top in the new mode but you definitely can in BGs.

It's obvious you are not reading what I'm writing and just want to hate.

So we finally discovered what you believe to be competitive. Totally RNG-based, grind-focused content. Got it. Please spare us any future posts from you about BGs.

Read what I said in the last sentence. For a mode to be Competitive there has to be a level playing field which this mode does by giving everyone the same access to champs. Nobody is locked out of competing just because they don't have the champs or have them leveled up. I am consistently getting 900 points every reset by using the same strategy every time. You complain about it being too RNG focused yet BGs is literally the exact same and even worse.

First you have to get the champ, then you have to get the resources to rank them up, and finally you have to make sure you draft them. All of this is RNG that even requires money to achive.

The reason why I said a 2 star meta is because kabam doesn't have the technology to make it so your roster in one mode is separate from your roster in the main game. If I said kabam should give us 52 seven stars fully maxed out for a BGs meta they couldn't do that without actually giving those champs to keep permanently. Obviously there will be attacker and defender nodes along with the usual rules that will boost the health values so that fights wouldn't be done in 10 seconds.

When everyone has access to the same character all at max rank, the only deciding factor is who plays better not who spent the most.
    Dreadful logic.

I imagine we can’t call the premier league competitive then because some football clubs are richer, and spend more on players than others..

I would say its more a single player mode with a competitive element than a straight up competitive mode. After all its the side quest still, but with an added leader board element. There is strategy and decision making in terms of how many swaps you do and when you do them, but yes also rng plays its role for sure.

Are you expecting this release this type of game mode on a permanent basis?

It's okay for a bit, I got lucky got every hand but the 2 unicorns. Just short of 20K points. I know top 200 will be crazy and the rest of us get 1% at best. So basically what's the point until milestones reset.

We don't know where the cutoff is, so its just blindly playing until you think you made it.

What is the 50% player pool a reflection of? The entire game base, or just people who play at least 1 game of this SQ?

The plan is more that we'll have more variety in side quests and be able to swap between more diverse varieties. Want to combat the current status of side quests feeling a little stale and repetitive.
Thanks, and agreed on the need for variety.

Would be great if future versions of the side quests could be a little more engaging. Mindlessly grinding what is essentially a game of poker, without enjoying some of the core game mechanics will get dull very quickly.

That's obviously not what I meant man why do you guys keep missing the point. No amount of money will guarantee you win. A sport's team can spend millions on its players but they will still have to train. No amount of money will outright make you faster, stronger, or bigger. You can't buy shoes that make you kick harder or run faster. In BGs you can literally pay to become stronger without having to put any effort.

But the new event gets stale and repetitive after you figure out what's expected and do it once. And also it lacks any fighting mechanics, but has all the new type of card interactions that probably took noticable time to code.
I'd rather play something like that thing for top progression level where you swap champs every 3 fights. Add some rng there, like start with a limited deck like bg and give selection of 3 champs from 5-8 and then lock used champs for several 3 fights sections with random nodes or defenders. Or just challenging fights with objectives like it was for suffering season. Or just say that this month sq is arena, imo it would be somewhat similar to the new mode (I never play arena except since special events)

Yes making it permanently please. I like it! I forgot to rank my characters for a moment and I enjoyed it.

Fun? What's fun about fighting 2* with no nodes lol
    I actually like poker lol

You're wasting time talking to these people. They don't want competitive MCOC, they want casino poker.
Anyhow, I tried this mode just now, and it's obviously just a fun silly no-skill candy crush type of mode.
I'm not against it, even though the rewards are pretty insane for what it is.
Regardless, if it keeps the forum Eeyores like OP and Beastdad happy and away from the serious threads, then kudos to Kabam.
I see nothing wrong with MCOC having a kid's menu and an adult menu.
I suggested an idea to make BGs competitive and you completely ignore it to insult me and another forum user. Why are you insulting BeastDad when all he said was he found the mode fun. You and ClobberingTime keep trying to derail the thread to get it closed. Multiple people have already offered constructive criticism which is the purpose of the thread, please stay on topic and treat each other respectfully.
BGs already is competitive, a lot of players at the top of Celestial aren't even in the group of the biggest spenders in the game and they're keeping up with the whales regardless lol you're just mad that your account isn't big enough to get up there. Keep playing and you'll catch up eventually, if you spent half as much time doing endgame content as you did complaining about BGs not being competitive because of whales you probably would've already been on you way to catching up.

I have no issue with anyone liking this mode.
But as others noted, it's just funny to see the biggest forum whiners finally finding a game mode they're good at.
You're not posting in a vacuum, just so you know, and have derailed countless threads yourself with silly complaints about serious game topics you have no business discussing.
