Dot amplifier ?

Sorry noob question… new to raids one of my alliance friends is using the dot amplifier with silver sable 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’ve never used it before he can’t get any damage going. Can someone explain in layman’s terms how it works please 🤣

If they are using DoT boost, then they chose the wrong one. They wanted to use siphon slider instead as that one actually boosts the damage of DoTs while DoT boost boosts the duration of debuffs.

That's a bad infographic. Purgatory with the DoT boost is currently the best attacker among all and this infographic doesn't even mention the pairing.
