I won't make any comments on the game mode itself because I am a little biased since this particular style of game is the type I used to play on my phones when I was growing up, but I will agree the rewards are insane for the amount of effort required and I'm surprised your post has so many disagrees lol.
We're getting: 3.6M gold, 825 units, one Titan, two 7*s and a couple Doombots for what 5-10 bucks give or take? If this turns into a monthly thing then I really don't get how people could be complaining this much considering how easy the game mode is.
the gamemode is just 💩 no sugar coating it, stop trying to justify it because it’ll only get worse if we keep enabling it.
Nobody is justifying anything, you can dislike the game mode but those rewards are insane for the effort required. How many game modes give you a full Titan and two 7* in a single monthly cycle? None not even BGs.
When did “effort” become the main barometer? It’s a time wasting endeavor whose sole purpose is to make you waste phone battery and MCOC time allotment. Why not just have the phone display “Kabam is the Best gaming company ever!” In neon flashing colors for 15 -20 minutes a day…. And get great rewards! We would have forum posts about how everyone should just quit complaining because “look at those sweet rewards!”
What do you mean since when? Were you not here for Necropolis Epoch Ordeal etc?Rewards have always been insane depending on the effort the quest or mode required you to put in. Why are you acting like this is an entirely new concept when that's how the game has always been. Crazy rewards (until recently) always required a good amount of effort compared to the boring walk in the park this new game mode is. And again, you can dislike the game mode all you want that's not what I'm arguing here, the argument here is the rewards are insane for the effort required and that is a fact. I don't care if you like the game mode or not that's your opinion, doesn't change the fact the rewards are crazy for such low effort and personally I'm more than happy to autoplay the whole thing for them even if it gets boring and repetitive lol.

So you will comply to any ridiculous requirement - no matter how bad the idea is, time wasted, etc… as long as the rewards are good. Kabam applauds you for being their target gamer. Enjoy staring at the flashing “Kabam is the best company ever” screen for hours in the coming months. You have decoupled any standard of fun from the game…
Time is also a big factor. It s not a mode where you have a screen open and it autoplays whatever while you work or watching a movie, you have to choose stuff between fights, arrange masteries etc. It s a full 10-15 min per stage, and you need to do this 3 times/day for almost a month. Rewards are just "ok" for the time. And we re not talking about those who re willing to spend instead of waiting.

Completely ignored the argument about how the rewards are crazy for such low effort which is the whole point of the thread and went for passive aggressive remarks instead lmfao bye Felicia.

I merely responded to your last statement where apparently there is no threshold for bad/boring content that you won’t consent to complete if the rewards are there. If that’s offensive, I’m not sure why… that’s your call. And Kabam is betting on a bunch of people being in the same category.

Can't compare it to permanent content.
Two Genuine Issues: Daily play requirement. (Mistakes will cost) Temporary timed content. 3rd is only personal. Mandatory chase tokens involvement (limited time currency).
Holy moly this game mode is stinky. I am working through the last 25 rounds of it and it is monotonous. You made us play that same round like 60 times. It doesn’t change in difficulty or enemies. It just repeats 60 times. Then you need to multiply those 60 required rounds with the 8 challenges per round… what a snooze fest.
My concern about content like this is someone has to make it. Which means you’re taking your Kabam employees away from good content to make this… I am assuming this request came from the higher ups? Either way please delete. It’s embarrassing to see a game who is known for challenging content to come out with two gambling/repetitive/boring game modes in a matter of weeks.
Rewards were nice and thank you for that. Just please don’t ever make us do this again. At least give us some continuity. Introduce the AI so we can get parried, intercepted and special intercepted in this mode. I need to feel like I am playing MCOC.

And how many entries you need to get one character maxed? Because there s only 10 mastery points each stage.

You don't have to max them (and I don't know if you can). Here is my mastery set up that I spent $5 on a long with entry tickets. I bought the 250 bundle for cores, and the rest went to tickets. I was going to do screenshots but it would have been twelve pics (4x3), so sorry that it's a video. IW was invested first (way overkill), then torch (also overkill) and Mr F ( a slightly less overkill). Haven't tried with Thing yet.
This really feels like they built a half done game demo in JS to prove a concept. It's easier to do it that way than in game and worry about multiple mobile builds. The rewards feel just like the kind I would expect get for doing an alpha or beta test for this new kabam game concept. Because it feels only half (if that) done they need big rewards to get us to play.
All in all, between this made up non, MCOC feeling game, and the poker game, I really wonder who is designing game modes now a days. I encourage the Kabam team to really hone in on the essentials of what makes this game work for ten years and iterate off that. This month just feels like the team thinks if we use similar graphics then we will think it's MCOC.

I don't know if it's helpful. I was going to try different materials to share with my alliance (since obviously no one wants to pay, and I drew the short straw in our alliance group chat). But you can't reset them so I don't know the 'cheapest' set up.

Yes, I wasn't saying this is the same as permanent endgame content or anything like that I was simply saying that usually rewards like these were locked behind objectives or content that required way more effort. Just to put things into perspective, the rewards for playing this thing for one month are better than one Necropolis Carina's challenge. People are free to dislike the content as much as they want, but the reward to effort ratio is actually crazy even if the game mode itself is dogshit lol.

Without spending I'm not sure either but I spent 5 too and I already maxed Thing. I think I spent like 300 on mastery cores and the other 200 on entries.
Someone is going to endure this for 20 more sigs on red hulk…. Probably more than a few actually.
I see it as no different than autofighting EQ for units. You don't have to touch anything once the mode starts. The timer on the hacks expires on its own and selects them for you. And I don't play the special mini-game either and haven't died ever after filling up the masteries. So it's one touch of the screen for each quest.
I also have at least minimal satisfaction that I can auto run EQ with OP champs I gained and ranked from effort. Not some detached 16-bit character that has no relation to my account.
This was actually my main issue with casino poker. We put all this time and effort (and money for some) into our champs, so why are you giving us game modes where we can't use them? The whole point of this game is our rosters and progression.

If I did it over again, I would do this: Pick one champ to "rank up" minimally, basically enough to survive through the content. Then only use that champ for all the runs, and dump everything else into entry tokens. And forget about the 7* crystal objectives; just use the one champ to clear the units/titan objectives.
I feel like an absolute idiot for “playing” this mode. I don’t know a damn thing about whatever game archetype this is based upon, but if this is moronic. However. I’ll do it for the rewards. Kabam, please put an asterisk to signify that this was done under duress when you count me in the “completed the content” column.
Also, there’s nothing more priceless than longtime self-declared arena junkies complaining that this mode is mindless or that it takes too much time. Great stuff.

I figured the arena folks like me would be bashed incorrectly- arena efficiency requires having at least a respectable roster…. Developed high end champs and 4 stars. You do that by completing content and managing your resources. Whether you think the grind is boring or not doesn’t change the fact that what you do in the game makes your arena time less… and I can choose to knock it out in the window of my choosing. I am not bound to do the same thing everyday or else.
This mode? Nothing relates to anything to your roster… you are time bound and entry bound. And you aren’t even playing the game. You can’t auto fight arena. In this instance, low eq auto fight is a better comparison. Arena grinding isn’t.

That's the most efficient way to do it honestly because once you have someone almost fully maxed there is no way in hell you will die before finishing 8 waves. I have Thing maxed and I basically just autoplay every round completely I don't even pick the hacks or whatever between waves, and Thing still has over 50% health left by the end of wave 8 regardless. So to anyone finding this very annoying to deal with, I would (and again I'm not saying this is fine) recommend just spending five and maxing on character so you don't have to be actually playing every single day and putting effort in a game mode you don't like just because of fomo due to rewards being crazy.
Can you finish without paying? That’s all I need to know.
I have heard the amount of days it runs which means the amount of entries you have is *more* than the amount it takes to accumulate all the rewards.
BUT that doesn't take into account if you simply just *don't* win. I played my 3 yesterday, one chapter 1 once, played chapter 2 and lost, played chapter 2 again and won.
It's not necessarily like I could've done better, since everything is automated. And so much of the game, its icons, it's buffs etc, are just simply not intuitive (or worse, not explained at all). Like I know there's icons next to the 'next wave' fight that denote the type of armor or damage they deal presumably, but it doesn't actually say WHAT they are or WHAT they do.
I also discovered that even if you *knew* what they did and wanted to say, change your character, and maybe use a buff (those re-roll things whatever they're called), that any leveling up leading to being able to do a Special completely goes away if you switch characters and doesn't come back. So you're almost forced to play the same champ every wave unless you want to lose out on performing specials.
The only thing that matters are the masteries. Build up one champ almost completely, even if you have to run story quest 1 a few extra times. Then start moving forward with one strong champ. As you earn more mastery points, fill out the additional champs.

Yes, yes, the deep strategy of sourcing 10% boosts to shave three and a half minutes off your weekly grind in the four star event. Come on man, it’s arena. If you enjoy it, cool. But let’s not act like it’s any more challenging than whatever this auto fight thing is.

Rewards are just "ok" for the time. And we re not talking about those who re willing to spend instead of waiting.
Two Genuine Issues:
Daily play requirement. (Mistakes will cost)
Temporary timed content.
3rd is only personal. Mandatory chase tokens involvement (limited time currency).
People are free to dislike the content as much as they want, but the reward to effort ratio is actually crazy even if the game mode itself is dogshit lol.
Is he getting smarter or am I getting dumber?
We put all this time and effort (and money for some) into our champs, so why are you giving us game modes where we can't use them?
The whole point of this game is our rosters and progression.
Pick one champ to "rank up" minimally, basically enough to survive through the content.
Then only use that champ for all the runs, and dump everything else into entry tokens.
And forget about the 7* crystal objectives; just use the one champ to clear the units/titan objectives.
