I think there is a different AI level that this happens. I've seen it on Hard Arena Fights , Last 2 master mode quests, Aw, Day 3, 4, 5 in Aq and 5.2.2 onwards in story quests. I don't mind the difficulty but the AI flat out bypassing game mechanics due to increased speed in reaction times cost me units in master mode and Aq.
I agree that the AI shouldn't be superhuman otherwise what's the point? Stuff like using an l2 when the l3 has been reached is fine (although occasionally annoying when it means they can get off two l2s in.a row) but superhuman blocking and recovery is just bs. It takes away the whole challenge of learning the game and makes it about luck.
I've experienced a majority of what others have posted in regards to the AI. But I haven't read anything about the AI when we use the "Auto" fight option in quests. Is it just me, or does the gap of "aggressiveness and difficulty" seem way too wide between fighting against(standard opponent) and fighting with(our champ auto fight option). Cause I've sat and watched countless auto fights I initiated, and a majority of the time, my champs just stand around to be hit, and rarely have I seen a power special triggered immediately after its available. On too many occasions my champs are at full power but just stand there and let the opponent hit them numerous times before it decides to finally trigger the special. But when I fight against, nearly 90% of the time, the AI triggers(3rd especially) before they are even standing completely straight when getting up from a knockdown. I dont see this as being fair game.
That's weird - I was just about to say that I've noticed improvements in the autofight AI recently, but then I had an autofight in Heroic and my 4/40 Rogue got flattened by the 2k Hyperion because she just stood there and let herself get hit
I haven't noticed anything different. Occasionally in arena, the AI will snort a line of coke before the fight and go balls-to-the wall crazy during a fight, but that's not new. It seems like once your streak gets pretty high, there's a random counter somewhere that flips a switch to try to make you lose.
The controls/timing/AI change a little bit after every update. It seems like every update requires a slight adjustment in the way you fight. I haven't noticed anything drastic though.
What bout when the AI deals Sp3 on you and suddenly goes Rambo on your ass while pinned to the corner and cant even evade.block or anything to stop them at all lol.
Kabam changes the AI without us knowing. This has been the case for a while. Recently though, I believe they changed it much more than usual which is why you are noticing it. Baiting is harder, combos are different. I am getting intercepted like crazy (I did not get intercepted before recently, so any intercepts >0 is crazy for me).
They can't change the game thru server maintenance. You would need to download the changes for any changes to the ai for your game. Server maitenance is that just server side. Mostly tho the ai is very predictable and easy to fight
I haven't noticed any changes with the AI with the latest Patch, but I've had some extreme lag. Controls aren't responding as fast, sometimes not at all. It's a bit frustrating.
I'm noticing the exact same thing. My champ is not doing a lot of fifth hits, dropping blocks, not evading when I swipe, and a lot of auto play. It's getting very frustrating.
The odd thing is my iPhone 7 is working pretty well aside from some missed hits, my iPad is working horrible however.

This statement is true in general, but it has an important gotcha to be aware of. New content and sometimes even new mechanics are often downloaded as part of major client side patches but not enabled until a server side maintenance window syncs the server to the client. So it can sometimes happen that server maintenance alters the behavior of the game client.
In this specific case I don't think any recent server maintenance altered the AI of the critters. But it is not impossible for that to happen. AI is probably dictated by AI profiles. These profiles can be downloaded to the client in a patch and enabled later, keeping them hidden until a trigger condition is received.
Any such hidden code would surely be dug up and exposed by mcoc mod tho. He finds everything in the game files
Not necessarily. From what I can gather, mcoc mod (or whomever posts under that handle) understands the client enough to see new content, and he can bit-fiddle to enable stuff in the client, but I don't see evidence that his deconstruction of the client goes that far. It wouldn't need to be, to do anything I've seen him do.
And remember we're not necessarily talking about code, the AI profiles could be code or it could be script fragments or it could be nothing but a small set of (apparently) random binary flags used by whatever behavior engine Kabam stuck in there. You only find those things if you specifically look for them.
1. Parry is not working properly
2. Howard the duck is not getting regeneration against mutant champs after using 3rd special attack
3. Ai seems to be more difficult now

It does seem to be an interesting exception to the stated policy that all player-facing game changes are supposed to be noted in the patch notes.
