    When you get nothing for your money,that is not enjoyable and not gambling anymore.i would call it like theft,moneygrab,or something like that.

    I won't go for it, but I'm sure there will always be whalers helping to fuel the economy, which is good for everyone! Once a while a nice deal does pop up, but those are few and far.

    They keep you in the game, doing arenas, coming back every day to claim freebies, with 24 hour quests and wars to keep you coming back every hour.

    That sounds a lot like gambling.

    And the community does not help either. If you stop playing (or do not gamble enough), you get kicked from your alliance. If you stop playing you don't get one of the many resources you need to advance. If you go to the forums, they will tell you it's your choice to do anything, then they will tell you, you should be doing 400 series in arena every week to progress.

    It is gambling. At least Vegas is regulated and machines routinely checked to see if they are cheating the customer.

    Technically there is nothing or no one checking on Kabam if they are truly state odds. We just need to trust them and we all know how many blunders they have. Remember the 5* punisher where no one got him the first few hours. Kabam controls everything and can change things at will. I guess u just need to trust them

    This gambling issue with the lootboxes is a thinner and thinner ice day by day worldwide and kabam is still dancing on it.other companies started to fight and started to change things,to keep the players,for example better game experience,better offers.in the mcoc,the game performance is just getting worse and worse with every updates.i guess,the whales are still spending too much,on nothing.what kabam will do,when the whales are gonna get bored of this game?that is coming soon,i guess...

    Playing a game of chance does not automatically equate Gambling. You have to have a monetary payout, legally, and literally you have to have a payout of value. There is no payout. You're renting permission to use their product, and it all remains property of Kabam.
    This conversation really won't get anywhere because you have your own views and I respect that, so we will just have to agree to disagree. Nothing has changed besides the rule Apple made about posting the odds. It's still the same system. They're just visible. The legal definition hasn't changed either.

    It was a joke. I didn't miss the point. My point was missed. If people think it's not worth the money, they don't have to use money. That was my point. They're not sold for money. They're sold for Units.

    These trashy crystals just take advantage of addicts. We already knew the drop rates sucked and majority don’t spend much/any money on them but Kabam has determined that bleeding these poor guys dry for thousands generates more money than targeting a larger percentage of players with more reasonably priced offers.

    Is there an element of gambling buying crystals? Yes, but there is for all crystals in this game. And most people are not buying these crystals to feed some sort of a gambling addiction. They are buying them for a chance at a champion that they want to use to play the game. Regardless of how you view buying crystals any debate on the gamble with them is just stupid and a waste of time. The drop rates are the drop rates and you have to decide if it is worth it or not.

    Most people buying them before knew the odds were 1% or less. They assume they will be the one who gets the champ though. It won't stop and it keeps the game free for the rest of us.

    Some people will be addicted to the game itself, not to gambling. But because gambling is part of the game, and we feel joy every time those crystals result in our favor, yeah, I would say that is a dangerous habit. Whoever raised and trained a dog will know what I am talking about.

    I think you need to give up this debate. It is no longer constructive to what these forums are created for and definitely has very little to do with what this thread even started to be about.
