Should I get the 5*awakening gem or a bunch of rank up materials?

2.5 months into the game. No rank 5 4* yet, 3 meh tier 5*, progressing on 4.4.4, sitting on 6.3 mill infinity dust. Already got the 4* ag. I do lack t4ccs and t4bs, but the 5* ag seems a lot harder to come by. What should I do? Appreciate your replies!

    Go for the rankup materials and 5* shards or just spend on 5* shards

    Getting t4cc in order to max out 4*s is the gateway to uncollected, finishing higher difficulty Event Quests, etc. it’s more important than a 5* awakening. It also may be for a bad class that you sit on for a long time.
