war is not fun anymore

The difficulty increase in war makes it not fun anymore. Node 30 is near impossible to beat without heavy spending and boosts. Getting stuck on it means the group can't clear. It's not fun getting stuck on nodes that are designed to be so difficult.
Kabam says they don't want us to 100% the map. Then don't put the hardest nodes on paths that are required to be taken down to reach the boss. The old war map used to have super hard nodes on the top and far right, and skipping them meant we could still reach and kill bosses. If alliances wanted to increase exploration, they could fight the hard nodes too.
But this map is reversed and makes no sense. The hardest nodes should be unlinked and not link other nodes and should be on paths 1 and 9 so alliances could choose to skip them and reduce exploration %, and still reach the boss. Hardest node shouldn't be in the middle paths where not clearing it stalls the entire map. It's bad design.
We send 3 people to node 30 and they can't take it down. This is not an issue of "get good". We have great fighters who are all just outmatched by this node and it's taking the fun out of the game mode because it makes the players in the middle paths feel like cr.ap. This is a game. It should be fun. It should not be so stressful because people can't clear an impossible node.

First time I took node 30, spent 15/15 items but finally took it down.
Second time I took it, spent 5 items.
Third time, spent 0 items.
Seriously, it’s doable. Those in the middle just need to figure out how to handle it.
There is no fun anymore and i seriously regret all the money spent. I guess ill walk away thinking i had a bad dream
I do know its an adjustment phase etc but i feel like i am being milked. The node is manageable at times like some have mentioned but it really depends on who was placed, your tier and who you have available.
My alliance are connstantly adjusting paths and strategies to try and counter these nodes and still running into issues. So far we have fought 5 wars in tier 3 with these nodes and are 4/5 wins. However its a blood bath. We havent run into one alliance that can do 100% yet.
So clearly those that want to say its easy and dont understand the fuss are typically in a different situation then most and as it appears by the many post on this are in the minority. The Majority are having issues which means its a problem plain and simple.
They should listen to the community and undo these last changes.
it's crazy especially since seasons have always existed
Since all lines converge at the final boss, the boss should be the hardest node in the map, not a node smack in the middle that links (and therefore blocks) two other paths. It really makes no sense.
what tier?
depends who is on it. i have blade and i face magik there and die only 1 time. faced medusa, and 3 people died 3 times each with full health champs. we had placed hyperion once, he died with 1 kill. we placed hulk ragnarok, he got 16 kills. this is tier 3
LAME
I decided that War is not a priority for me, as it only adds stress. I can easily do the occasional challenges and uncollected monthly. Plus I finished Act 5 a few months ago. So, maybe I am bad at war and because Kabam is pressuring alliances to be very good at it, I decided to get away from big alliances, so I can have a fun experience.
I cannot be the only one experiencing this. AQ is kinda fun, but also requires you to be up til late, waiting for everyone to finish their paths. Even if it is not til late, you have to log in frequently and have LINE installed in your phone, spending even more time of your life in something that will mean nothing in your future or to your loved ones.
This is a very toxic experience, I think AQ and AW were designed poorly, with the intention of engaging players even more, and making them spend more time online. And this is the case with most of their features, except normal story quests as they take a few minutes to spend all your energy, and then you have the option to wait.
I would even say that AW was never fun for me, but it used to be more fun when alliances weren't abusing certain things on it. I think piloting is one of the signs it is broken. All the alliances I have been (except the current one, as we are retired players), had someone piloting accounts to be able to win. For several reasons, mostly because of low performing devices, or because it is unrealistic to expect players to be online all day and/or night (it gets complicated when you have mixed timezones).
Adding seasons was the sign I needed, to know I can no longer play in great alliances. And it's ok. I don't have to be competitive, I guess I will just grow at my own pace.
Magik, Medusa, Medusa.
get back to us once you've fought 5/65 awakened Killmonger on 30.
