This game has gathered many players all over the world, and many players like this game because of Wei Wei. The best design of the game was in 2015 -2017, which belongs to the era of four star heroes.
But since the second half of 2017, the game has become radical, launching many new heroes every month, which has caught many players off guard.
New heroes are becoming more and more powerful, and people are constantly pursuing new heroes. The new players are not able to keep pace with the rhythm, and many new players give up in a few months. Losing the new player is the biggest failure of the game.
Many old players, in order to keep up with the rhythm, must also pursue new heroes, there have been a lot of third-party purchase of props, the result is that KABAM closed many accounts. Many old players lost interest and left the game.
Serious mistakes have been made in the design of this game. On the face of it, the constant introduction of new heroes is a desire to increase revenue, but in fact, this approach is losing more and more players, reducing Kabam's income. And the game design team will also struggle for every new hero. Losing more and more players, the game design team is also getting more and more difficult. The game will eventually fail.
I suggest slowing down the pace of new heroes. If this goes on, I'm afraid, players will be fewer and fewer, now form an alliance, often can not find anyone. I think it's time to go back to the classic four-star hero era to train new players and consolidate the pace of older players. Control the speed of hero promotion. Now everyone knows that the 6 star has become a trend. After 6 stars, there are seven stars. However, you should consider how to consolidate the old players and cultivate new players.

What Kabam needs to do: review ALL champions, no taboos. Revive those who are old and dead, nerf those who are OP and broken and frankly, ignore the rank-down whiners. So what your God champion doesn't trample every opponent? That is not how the game is meant to be. In return, Kabam has to stop necessitating such OP champions for ridiculous nodes (yes I'm looking at HYDRA adaptoid).
If Kabam doesn't do this, they won't make it till their 5th anniversary. I guarantee that.
No, just no. If you stop progressing the the meta, the game will become insanely stale.
Why?
Not really. Massacre is a new champ and well liked. Goldpool was a trophy champ. Everyone else is pretty widely known in the comics universe. We play because its a good game not because of which characters are in it.
I like Masacre, and I went all-out for GP. Was I waiting for them? No. I'm not in control of who they release. I still look at them objectively.
Right now we are running into the issue where it is extremely difficult to obtain a specific champ because there are SO many champions in the crystals and the new champions just don't stop coming. Its a bit overwhelming to be honest. It would be nice if things were slowed down a bit and Kabam focused on balancing the old characters to at least be able to compete in the new content. Currently many champs are 100% useless in all modes and this needs to be changed.
While I understand your point and agree it would be great if my five star IM were buffed up, at the same time it doesn’t make much sense from a business model. People feel like it is necessary to go all in on a new champ so they have the best new defender or attacker. If kabam focused on buffs to the old champs (like they did with Luke Cage), far fewer people would spend on their crystals as chances are the updated champs reside on their rosters already. Buffing old champs is ALWAYS appreciated but, from a company point of view, it’s added work for little to no reward financially.
The problem is that there are SO many outdated champs its actually becoming unhealthy for the game. When there are 120 champs in the crystals and 50% of those are almost completely useless in the new content that is being released it doesn't make it an enjoyable experience for the players. We want to be able to use our champs and quite frankly there are far to many that are unusable. Especially in the 6* crystal. It's pathetic that over 50% of the 6* characters in the game are complete trash and not usable.
Complete trash and not usable is an exaggeration. Sometimes people forget there are people outside of the Top Tier chasing the God Tier, and they shed no tears. Lol. Meaning, they play with the Champs they have. All of them.
This is for sure why I support the new champ specific system! Imagine having a defenders comics tag (hulk, Angela, dr strange etc), or even having year specific tags (only champs from 2016). Challenge folks to use those champs to their best utility!
That is a fair point. The one exception I think would be the 6* crystal. This crystal is specifically geared towards the "end game" players. It makes no sense to have so many of the unusable champs in this crystal. The point of 6* is to help us advance to harder content, but we can't do that when 50% of the champions in the crystal are old champions who cannot compete in the new content. I get not having only "god" tier champs in the crystal, but when 50%+ of the champs are useless I think things might have gone too far.
To be fair, given the number of Champs in the overall pool, I'd say maybe 10% really need a revision. A majority are in the mid-range, and the rest are well sought-after.
They kind of went the opposite route when they introduced the 6* crystal and only put in like one or two really good champs. The rest were pretty meh.
That's what I said. When you first introduce a new Tier, you don't want that many overly-powerful Champs until people adjust to the new Rarity.
Oh sorry, misunderstood what you were saying. I agree with that to an extent. I think they took it too far however, and put in way too many of the champs that are in need of an update. They need to realize how much it sucks to have 6* champs but be unable to use them. Literally one of the worst things.
From the player's point of view: everyone's memory is limited, each hero has his own action, need to defeat the opponent, need to understand the action of each hero. At present, there are more than 100 heroes. Players can't remember even heroes' actions. How can they play happily?
For the new players, so many heroes, but also the introduction of new heroes, it is more difficult to accept. So this game is now selling accounts, leaving more and more people in this game. If you don't change your strategy, I'm afraid the lifecycle will be very short.
