Hey Kabam,

my alliance in the last 7-8 wars did not have a chance to fight a single node since all our opponents are placing no defenders. This is ridiculous for many reasons:

1) we can't test the new AW nodes since we have no one to fight
2) our current alliance rating bumped about 300+ points since the end of season 4
3) we will be penalized in season 5 by having harder matching with probably platinum 1/master alliances
4) loss of practice

This is ridiculous and it's time to do something. Please take an action on this and try to find a solution.

    All of our off season fights have been tanking allies. We finally had to place no defenders to kind of even put our war rating before season starts. Just ridiculous

    This game is turning into the NBA. Teams tanking to eventually have a easier road to the top rank/spot for later on.

    Our last 5 or 6 wars have all been tanking alliances.

    Our war rating is so inflated now that we’ll probably get destroyed when the season actually starts.

    A tie for us did not result in any rating change one time and a 3 point decrease the 2nd time while the other alliance got bumped up 1 point. A tie no longer helps anyone.

    I'd select randomly your top 5 Champs from your strongest 10 Champs so you'll be careful not to place your defenders

    Kabam extending the off-season only made this worse too.

    Get rid of the off season and problem should be solved. People will complain about too much content to do but let them. Season break does create more competition for when the seasons begin but at this point we have to look at the pros and cons.

    Make it simple. You want to place no defenders? The other alliance doesn't get any points for the win, but they get the rewards, and your alliance doesn't move up or down in points either.

    Just freeze ratings maybe in the break. The wars in off season are only the individual results of that war and are fought purely for the shards

    Even with all the non sense above, people will have relax breaks. Again this is just a game. Fun to play but not #1 life priority.

    I like this but at this point would be better not to start matching at all if you don't want to place. Ok you will still get few rewards

    Kabam created the season war structure. Of coarse alliances are going to do whatever they can to better their chances at getting the highest rank possible during season wars. Those are where the rarest and most sort after resources are available at a decent quantity. If they have to drop rating, prevent other alliances from being able to test maps, nodes or even new recruits then that’s what they will do. Anything to get the edge.

    They could just remove season wars all together and just add small amounts of those prizes to each win. If you win a war you get x amount of t5 basic shards, t2 alpha shards, t4 basic, 5* shards, T4cc etc... and if you lose, you get very little, or even nothing. That will keep everyone wanting to win every war.

    As long as you have a season structure, don’t expect a competitive off season.

    We're on the other side, we can't tank cause we keep facing other tanking alliances. So we end up tie'ing and not losing points. If we don't tank we will be facing alliances above our level (master/plat 1) when war season starts.

    Please fix.

    The deal is that your rating goes up each win, and you will start the war season in a much higher bracket than your alliance is able to handle. Which means you will go on a huge losing streak and you might end up in a tier way lower than what your alliance is capable of.

    In short, yes, you will get a 'free win' now, but you will get lesser season rewards, due to how the system is in place.
