Punishing non cheaters.

Yesterday there was a bug where many summoners were banned for 7 days for no reason. This cause me the leader of alliance to make a tough decision and kick a long time officer because we need the spot to run map 6 and wars. I knew the member didn’t cheat but it came down to minutes and kabam was not answering tickets. The member did get reinstated and he will be brought back into the alliance today but this will cause him to miss out in many rewards. Each ticket I or the other summoners, not just my alliance, submit are closed and pushed aside. What are you going to do to compensate these summoners who were banned and reinstated through no fault of their own? Please reference this reddit link as well.

It's a bad situation for sure. Simply closing threads about it isn't helping either. Kabam needs to be open about this one and take it head on. I understand the reasons that this sort of stuff isn't usually talked about on the forums, but I've always asked "what if you get it wrong?". And ofc, I only hear "they won't" in response.

Well, they did... In a HUGE way. And their silence on it simply makes it worse. The players affected definitely deserve some recompense, but I'm mostly worried about the next time. There should have been a flashing banner at the top of the forum alerting people about what happened and that they were working on it. Instead, players were forced to wait on form responses from a mostly broken support system while they tried to figure out what was going on. Plenty of boots happened in that time.

So now that we have proof mistakes happen, it's probably a good time to get more open about the process... Not necessarily informing us how it works... But giving us more recourse when something goes wrong. Simply standing behind a rule of not discussing on the forum didn't work too well this time.

Yup. Had a guy in my alli yesterday catch the ban. I had to make a judgment call on him. But he's a good guy and I figured I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. Glad I did. Many others didn't tho. It's really messed up.

That’s ridiculous for Kabam to treat their good standing members this way. They will probably come back and somehow blame it on the player and say thanks for the feedback but there is nothing we can do. If they do not help these affected players then we all truly know that Kabam only cares about themselves. Definitely makes you think twice about spending on this game anymore. Hopefully they do you and the other players right by this error.

That's a huge point. Plenty of honest players spend, some spend a lot. How is an honest player supposed to feel about investing in this game now? How comfortable are they going to be with dropping their cash and seeing a non-response from kabam in this situation? Mistakes happen. But you build confidence in your customer base by owning the mistakes and letting those customers know how you're not going to make the same mistakes again.
