Weird RNG..

Out of my 4 star roster of 43, 19 of which are duped, I've pulled
Black panther 6 times
Drax 5 times
Venom pool 6 times
Old man Logan 5 times

So..I think this is really weird considering there is a vast pool of 4 stars and I seem to be getting some champs again and again..

    RNG ... I can only get one 4* crystal at best 2 weeks once and dreading to open it because it is another duplicate.

True RNG is streaky...but it isn't consistently this streaky... It's so funny now that 6* are out, I pull all these god tier 4* champs constantly where I couldn't get them before, and before 6* were out, I had the same thing happen with 3*. I've talked with other people who aren't consistent spenders, and they report many of the same issues.

    People that pop FGMCs are going to have a much higher chance at getting better champs, since they open far more crystals with a chance at getting a 5*, and therefore get more 5*s. As someone with multiple "god tier" five stars that doesn't spend... It's just RNG.

    This right here, I keep opening 4 and 5 stars. . . . Still getting the same old/surly champs, so much for RNG, once champs are added to the regular cristal, should have the same percentage of getting any of them, yet the same champs keep showing up. Just pop 2 5 stars and got falcon again.

    I'm with you, I used to believe it was truly random rng, but over time I've come to believe the opposite. I've also gone through periods of heavy spending and no spending at all and have noticed some truly frightening trends in my crystal openings when I'm spending v.s. not spending. Let's just say it IS rng in the sense that what u get will be random, but it is a heavily modified random that factors in the things u mentioned and probably a few other things as well. I wouldn't say this if I didn't believe it to be true.

    It is definitely not true rng. There is no way that all the champs are in the pool with 1 value to them. As previous people have said the less desirable champs tend to pop up more often than the good ones. So falcon may have 15 values in the pool and blade may have 1. That our alliance for instance. We have a decent number of 6*s in our alliance. Probably 30-40. And out of the entire alliance we have 5 with KP. And 4 with IF and one of them is duped. So 10/40 are KP or IF. With the 6* pool being at least 30 champs now how is that even possible?

    Yep. I started playing late 2015 and quit early 2016. Came back late 2017 and progressed quite a lot, but I know 100% some champions have greater rates than others. From my first 2 5 stars I have pulled 1: spider Gwen and 2: beast. Spider Gwen sucks, and beast is only good awakened, so in my eyes, 2 bad champs. I have 0 god tier 4 stars as well, and I frequently pull terrible 4 stars such as iron man, duping him multiple times. So I’m pretty much convinced that A: my luck is terrible or B: if you spend money you get better rates. Which is likely true (I’m ftp)

    I’ll give the counter-argument - I don’t think there is a conspiracy against free to play players. I’ve been F2P the whole time I’ve played. I played for a few months in 2015 and then stopped. I’ve been a daily player since June 2018.

    My 5 star roster has two good champs (Mephisto and Yondu) and two average champs (Loki and Mordo).

    However, my 4 Star roster (which is only like 25 champions) has multiple elite pulls:

    Luke Cage
    Archangel
    Scarlett Witch
    Ghost Rider (Awakened)
    Dr. Voodoo
    Iceman
    Corvus Glaive
    Crossbones

    Maybe I’m just lucky but I don’t think there is a conspiracy. Admittedly, the company wants to make money and most of their deals are ridiculously overpriced but as a F2P player, I’m pretty happy with my crystal pulls in the last 6 months.

    By the way Kabam, I’m thinking about spending - send a cheap deal on 4 Star Awakening Gems and I’ll likely become a spending player.

    That's RNG. No one is controlling your pulls. There are not increased chances for "Garbage/Older" Champs. When you're talking about God Tier, that's needle in a haystack. There's what, maybe 10-15 Champs people consider God Tier? That's about 10/120 Chance to get one. Less if you want one specific Champ. The more you narrow your goal, the more chance you'll have to pull what you don't want.
    Then that whole theory of yours, 99% of the time you get Champs from 2015-2017, which is EVERYTHING before this year. Probably, yes. There's more OF them.

    Personally, I don't buy into the whole conspiracy of 'its not true RNG'

    People seem to argue that they pull less desirable champs far more often then the ones they want. Well yeah, that's because there are far more champs that are NOT 'God tier' or top tier champs. Of course you're going to have a higher chance of pulling one you don't want.

    In regards to the claims that spending gives you better drops, if you've ever watched COW's videos on YouTube, especially his most recent massive 6* opening, you'd know that's not true. He spends thousands of units on FGMC until he gets the champs, whereas some F2P players might get them out of just a few units they've saved up.

    I also see people on this thread claiming they pull more God tier characters in 4* versions now that 6* are out.. Again, yeah because you're probably opening way more 4* crystals now than ever before. Shards are so easy to farm these days. It's really not complicated. More chances to pull the better characters.

    There's always going to be posts like this, and since there's really no way to prove either side of the story the debate will likely always carry on. Just my thoughts on it.

    "I'm getting exactly what I want the least. It's rigged."

    Except what they want is a small percentage of what's available, and not getting what we want every time is RNG working as intended.

    True, in the sense that casinos don't do that either. It would be illegal to do that with casino slot machines.
