What makes people lose interest with this game?

I thought I would make a discussion here about what is making this game lose chunks of it's player base. This isn't a bash kabam thread or "it's pay to win thread". Just what is making you lose interest.
Me personally it is how the game seems to be "breaking" in it's core mechanics. From last two updates basic controls such as parry, block and dexterity aren't working to the ability they did when I first started playing like 10 months back.
Blocking/ parry: I have found more and more how my block just breaks or my character just doesn't block when I am pressing on the screen. This causes death in so many aspects in the game and more importantly war. Blocks dropping and parries not registering causes so much frustration in the game and I am seeing lots of people in my alliance showing this same frustration.
Dexterity: since this last update my dexterity has really been a miss. Dexing out of attacks but still being hit by them just leads to confusion and creates a toxic feeling for the game.
These basic mechanics are the fundamental part of the game and with them acting up so casually now, it is making the game more irritating than annoying.
I love this game and happy spend money on it and would happily keep spending but having internet issues every fight and having block dropping meaning more potions is just making me lose interest.
I really hope this can get fixed and can look forward to playing this game for the years to come.

Huawei P20 light
WiFi and data used
On most up to date Android update
Had phone for 10 months and use it for very little other than this game.

How about the constant silence when things go wrong. Just like the other day with rewards. Over 24 hours go by without a word.
And everything you mentioned above @MattyPerler for sure. Things don't work correctly and its brushed under the rug.
I personally don't spend anymore since 12.0 and i never will.
Why should we pay to keep a mobile game working when there's always a problem. Just like the famous connection problems. Check your connection issues. Everyone knows it's not on our end. But nothing will ever get corrected as long as people continue to give them money.
I could keep going, but it's useless to complain. My time from playing has gone down 60% and will continue to drop and eventually i will quit. And I've been playing since a couple months of the original release date.
It used to be enjoyable a long time ago, but those days are long gone. I don't foresee mcoc being around much longer which will be a shame.
I use to look forward to growing, now it’s a game of must win war and must complete all content just to stay at the same level as the whales grow faster and well I grow at I guess what I would call a normal pace
#increaselevels
In truth the game demands your attention to much. There too much to do to try and keep up with the game. I’ve had to take multiple 3-6 month break playing this game since I started.
Other problem is how bad the rng is. With how necessary counter champs are these days rng play a big role in dictating whether or not you can progress(without spending buckets). This is very off putting for people and have seen many solid players quit because rng makes the game so unrewarding when pull after pull for months does nothing for your roster and your just running in circles And have nothing to show for your effort.
Repetitive combat and modes
Long loading screens
"Connection issues"
To many bugs and issues
Control issues
Getting bad champions
Them nerfing champions
Etc
There are many reasons why people lose interest in this game which causes them to quit or take a break or stop playing as much as they used to.
My allaince, friends and I fall into those reasonings and those left are just wondering what's going to be the final straw that breaks the camel's back.
The community
Absolutely everything is "rng" based
Lack of focus on quality of life changes for players, I.e. stash limits, interface improvements
Beta testing in production and waiting for the riot to finally react, after far too long
Alliance war
Inability or unwillingness to quickly address issues in limited content
Useless support
"I'll pass it along to the team"
Broken masteries for 2+ years
I could go on, but the core problem is the culture at Kabam leading to poor decisions or no decisions at all.
(1) Inability to acquire desirable champs.Kabam’s pRNG coding allows some players to disappear between the cracks for long periods of time. Even with more available rank-up materials, it’s pointless without champs you want to rank. When you are “between the cracks” on pRNG, the game feels like Groundhog Day.
(2) CRM. This includes both the official support and the forums support. Official support seems unequipped to understand the issues, and the game team often seems unwilling to offer effective guidance or solutions to problems. At times, the customer-facing function even feels like it borders on dismissiveness. If (3) were not such an important issue, responsiveness to customers wouldn’t matter as much.
(3) Frequent and recurring gameplay issues. Anyone who’s played for a while knows it’s always something. No one should expect perfection, but regular bugs and coding errors appear to be part of the product.
For me, these three things have reduced my enjoyment and playing time. If I had to sum it up, I would say that the frustration and futility generated by this game the last year-plus have ultimately alienated me as a customer.

When all those things start to outweigh the feeling of having fun while playing this game.
- unnecessarily difficult content that you cant almost do either without spending a lot or Have speicific champs ranked quite High
- Many useless and some Broken masteries
- Too much time consuming structure of arena, some side quest and aw/aq
- Impossibly over priced Deals 90% of the time (mostly more but considering december and july has great deals)
- continues Lags/connection issues
- Bugs that benifit players fixed in hours and Bugs that benifit game not fixed for months
- Last a merciless Rng but that is mostly due to most champs being useless.
Kabam.
Almost every gripe the player base has can be traced back to a developer who doesn't give a **** what their player base wants, communicates only selectively at best, and clearly has no motivation greater than squeezing wallets.
What drives people away? Kabam.
Fantastic game, atrocious developer.
2 - Few chances of progression if you don't spend 24/7/365 in the game
3 - Events created for specific champions / old champions are useless
4 - Nerfs
seriously wtf kabam
Guarantee they aren't.
2. It's also the long neglect of OG champs and the weird dynamics; In my lizard comic mind I can not imagine any scenario where Thor is weaker than characters like BW. That's not saying that BW isn't deadly-she is. Surely things can be improved. You have tons of mechanics you can experiment on; Beta players wont mind helping with that.
3. I can't for the love of me justify putting in cash for a 4* or 5* champ when there is always a possibility of a 6* or a 7*. We should've just stopped at 5*s and improve the game mechanics. Some of the offers is priced at a "weird" rate, try revising the prices to be more reasonable, people will spend more.
4. Lastly, the crystal pulls. Since the game is in a state as mentioned in point 1. Would it hurt to act make the cost for pulling crystals lower?
I mean the RNG is practically a weird mechanism but it's one that's rooted in luck. Technically each crystal pull is like playing the lottery. Difference is, a lottery ticket does not take a huge chunk of your savings as compared to how it feels like with just 1 5* or 6* crystal.
Make it cheaper like 6000 shards for a 5* and 10,000 shards for a 6*. Keep the crappy RNG, we need spice in life anyways AND I'm sure people wont complain about RNG that much (face it, the population is an ungrateful bunch, we complain about everything).
P.S: Oh...the censor feature in the chat is **** and the prevalence of young weird kids looking for love and spam bots doesn't reflect well on the moderation efforts.
