Announcing Event Quest: Sinister Foes of Spider-Man

STRENGTH IN NUMBERS

The Grandmaster has begun making changes in the contest. Starting with some pest control for all these Spider-verse heroes crawling around The Battlerealm. Six foes of Spider-Man have been brought together to put Peter Parker to the test, and he might need some backup on this one!

BRAINS VS BOMBS

Two new spider-verse villains are joining the contest. First up is the self-proclaimed genius Dr. Otto Octavius, who uses his superior intellect and technology to win fights rather than raw strength. During fights Doc Ock is constantly researching and analyzing his opponents, and when he reaches a breakthrough in his research he receives buffs and can debuff the opponent based on the kind of breakthrough. Following alongside him is the absolute madman Norman Osborn, aka Green Goblin. Who gains stacks of madness and cunning which provide benefits based on which is higher. He also has super bombs hidden away in his bag of tricks and can unload a wave of debuffs on his opponents.

Q&A

How long does this quest run for?
This quest will be starting on the 2nd of August at ~10:00AM PDT and will run until August 30th at 10:00AM PDT. Those attempting Legends runs will have until August 16th at 10am PDT to 100% explore both Heroic and Master difficulties.

Have the rewards been increased?
Yes! There has been an Increase to the amount of 4 and 5-Star shards given out on Heroic and Master difficulties which you get from completing and exploring the entire quest on those difficulties. See the rewards outline below for exact numbers and where they are.

Is this change permanent?
Yes.

How do I get the Legends title associated with Master Difficulty?
The Legends title and rewards will be given to the 100 players who 100% explore HEROIC AND MASTER difficulties in Sinister Foes of Spider-Man the fastest. Just like recent Event Quests, this quest will take advantage of the Time Attack system we’ve put in place for our Monthly Quest Legends Program. This means that the players that completely explore Heroic and Master difficulty the fastest within the first 2 weeks of the event being live will win the title. In addition to this distinction, these first 100 will receive the following rewards:
#1-5 - 3x Tier 4 Class Catalyst Crystal
#6-100 - 1x Tier 4 Class Catalyst Crystal

You must update to the new 14.1 Release to be able to see and participate in this quest.

Yes that is true, but his abilities are science related, chemistry, biology etc. which he uses to assess his opponent so this makes him sound like a science champion.

I agree that he should be tech but I think based on his abilities he could be either.

Doc Oc uses Science research and analysis to gain his abilities... I would like @Kabam Miike to get the Devs to explain why they made Doc a Tech? His mechanical arms? If that's the case then I give up on Kabam's reasoning... At least one of the two, GG or Doc Oc should have been a Science by reasoning, and logic.

Hi,I just finished it and I had the impression that this month is slightly harder. It seems to me there is an increase in difficulty. Maybe not much but that's the feeling I got.

I find the way you treat players even in the normal skill level utterly pathetic.

I am level 36 and cannot even get through one strand of the last levels, because staggeringly, on normal, a skill level you might expect the majority of players to finish the maps on, you are asking for 3 energy!

That to me is callous, nasty and borderline deliberately unfair. Noone below level 45 or so will even get through one strand in a sitting of the 800 you probably need to go down to get 100%.

I realise you need to make things harder, that is fine, they fight much harder there, blocking specials and all the other kabam nasty favourites.

But. 3 energy per portal? For god's sake, at least try and mask your greed.

You are honestly upset about this? Really? That's why they offer energy refills. Save up units. Of all things to get bent out of shape over.

My issue is not with the energy cost. It is with it being applied at the normal skill level. God knows how much energy it costs to do heroic, 4 or 5?

This is the normal skill bracket, one that most players should be able to achieve, it costs 70 energy to do one route. Is that really that fair for some very basic rewards and for someone like myself who is only level 36?

I do use energy refills, but to have to use three or four basics every single route is greed personified for normal difficulty.

If you were getting something staggering at the end fair enough! But this is just a resource burner, meaning if you want this, you can't do anything else almost for hours unless you burn resources or do arena
