Is back drafting working as normal?

So I have been trying to fight the spite chapter of RTTL (chp-4 quest 3) and am having huge problems landing any back draft intercepts even though I usually don't have problems with them. I know we had a problem with this a couple of months ago and just want to know if anyone else is having trouble backdrafting ... Or is it just me.
I am having this problem on the all or nothing iron patriot at the beginning of the quest.

Backdraft on blocking opponents doesn't work anymore
