4* Hulk way back when. Was my first 4* got me through lots of content. Used him all the way up until my 2nd "game changer" my 5* Magik. Was my 3rd and is still my most useful 5*. Can't wait to dupe her one day.

Agreed. That’s because so many champs are either poorly designed in the first place or are allowed to lapse into obscurity when the game team decides to change the meta. And if you don’t get that special meta champ...well, too bad.
Long ago, Dr. Strange was my go-to after I earned him from his first 4* basic arena. Scarlet Witch made a brief appearance just in time to make 12.0 really hurt. After then it was all done by committee: L99 Black Widow, or unduped R4 Ultron, or 4* Wolverine—all while ally mates sported awakened 5* Magiks and SLs.
Today it’s still Blade. One lucky crystal nearly a year and half ago—plus holding the 5* Skill AG I got from the 12.0 apology (yes, real apologies used to happen)—revived my interest in the game. He’s still great in a lot of ways, but it would be cool to to eventually see what superstars like Corvus or Cull or Stark or CapIW can do one day.
4* Venom. Once I duped him and took him to 5/50he made Act 4 a breeze.
5* Luke Cage. He is at R4 now and he literally took my roster to the next level.
5* Sparky. He literally changed the way I play and made me a better player. I had him as a 4* and never got to realise what the hype was all about. But as a 5* he is on another league.
5* Corvus. I only have him for a few days, now at R3, and, man, does he make things look easy. If the fights are not very long, he totally dominates.
Probably 5* Dr Voodoo for me. He was my first 5/65 and was really a key to a lot of content before a lot of the new nodes. He’s still very useful but against all the biohazard, incinerate, shock nodes now his use is more limited.

i’m still sore at being swindled out of $100 only to have DS nerfed 2 months later. I almost quit right then.

He's still my top champ despite zero synergy partners, and is just so ridiculously sustainable and versatile in quests.
Great champion though for questing
I was stuck at 5.3 until I got him, I used him to clear almost all of 5.3 and 5.4 with 4* Blade for some bosses
