The device might affect the freeze/crash... maybe. But it certainly isn't relevant to the game recording a "fight" with zero attacks from either champ, zero moves recorded, and zero damage dealt by either champ as a time out. That was an intentional decision to try to keep people from force-quitting before a fight starts (maybe to see champs on hidden nodes?).
This.
It happens on both Android & iOS, people in my alliance have both, and we all have seen this.
The question is again, as Menkent said, if not 1 move was made, then why lose 1/2 health?
Loading a fight in AQ, it was stuck here for 10 mins before I quit out of the game.
When I go back into the game, I lose 1/2 my health.
Why?
Not 1 attack was done, and it isn't my fault the game stuck there for that long, so, what is the reasoning behind this? I would be OK to lose 1/2 health IF I or the AI attacked, but, nothing was done!
That penalty should ONLY happen if you are actually fighting!
That always happens. Don't quit during the loading screen.
Agreed. This happened to me as well. It's not our fault the game freezes for no reason.
It’s doesnt have to do with device, lol. Not saying it can’t be the device, but this happens a lot. We shouldn’t be penalized for the game crashing on us. Not all of us are lucky enough to go to Aq with a regen champ. Some will need to use potions.
has nothing to do with an device. I have an brand new iPad of the latest and I still get an forever loading screen and the server blame its on my side? No, it’s other way around. There’s no way my iPad mini 5, totally a week old, would already get a bad performance and it would cause a random forever loading screen out of nowhere?? As said! It has nothing to do with device and no, I’m not gunning at you or other kabam but just saying the fact it’s at your side.
Knowing the device helps us know what specs you're running. You can think what you want, but it the long run this actually does help us in these investigations. If you don't want to provide details that's your choosing, but please do not determine for yourself whether or not devices have impact on something that is occurring.
A few have already mentioned it has nothing to do with the device. You should know this already as you also play the game
I've had this too. I go to fight but get stuck on load screen then had to shut down game. Lose half health before I even fight. Worse though, is game crashing after I've won fight and then having to rerun fight on half health v unfair. I'm on a OnePlus 6 and up to date.
It’s even worse to blame our brand new latest device and then ask us to report it to device information section when there’s nothing wrong in the device itself. A brand new and blame the device????
Is this seriously only being noticed by kabam now? This has been happening for as long as i can remember, i think most people just presumed it was the way it is

My gawd you’re tone deaf.
Eh? Explain then
Telling the people who make the game and asked for additional information they say is useful that they don’t need that information is stupid. They didn’t say it was the cause. They said it was helpful. I guess you know exactly what they need.

Does this answer your question?
They never gonna lift a finger to solve the problem by asking for device detail information. Hundreds of forum member can give them the information but proves nothing as it’s up to the game team to solve it or not. Knowing kabam they will not solve this issue because it benefit them as the player would be forced to choose to buy units or whatever to heal up after force closing the app.
Again, you press the fight button to enter a match, it goes to the loading screen, and it just sits there forever, until you force close the game. Then, when you run the game again, and start the same match, both myself & the AI didn't do 1 punch or anything of the sort, yet, it still clobbers 50% health off for no logical reason.
I have seen cases where people are actually fighting, and force quit, and that is not what is going on here.
It is just extremely unfair for this to happen because of a bug on Kabam's side.
Again, this isn't a bug. They decided to code time outs this way to prevent certain exploits. From their point of view this is working as intended and if people get a bit screwed by it... tough luck for us.

I am not so sure about that, Kabam wanted to punish people from force quitting while they are fighting in the match, not people that haven't even gotten to fight at all.
