Without directly increasing their damage, how would you buff a "niche" character?

As in someone with unique abilities or utility that is remarkably (if not only) useful in very rare circumstances IN COMPARISON to other champs. This means champs like Iron Fist, who is useful in most scenarios, have much better counterparts (Medusa for armor break, SS to nullify buffs, She Hulk who has identical base attack rating, etc).

Personally, I'd go Crossbones. I would:

* Increase Overrun's duration by 1/4

* Decrease its cooldown by 1/4

* Make every 7 or 8 furies combine into 1 permanent passive fury (indirect damage boost)

* Increase odds of sig ability activating either during overrun or based on # of furies

    -Overcharge lasts 0.15 seconds longer per battery charge.

    -While in overcharge mode, all abilities that drain the battery drain 90% less charges.

    -Once the battery reaches zero, increase power gain by 50% for 7 seconds.

    Interesting challenge. Okay, let's go with the example: Iron Fist. I would add a new effect to heavy attacks: if the target has two or more armor break debuffs, heavy attacks have a 25% chance to remove two armor break debuffs and replace them with a Disrupt Chi passive which reduces armor, critical rating, and critical damage rating. This passive effect lasts 20 seconds but is lost if the target lands an attack that makes contact with Iron Fist. If awakened, this passive effect's duration increases up to 40 seconds based on signature level. If the Disrupt Chi passive effect is stacked, it also reduces the ability accuracy for buffs by 33% for each stack after the first passive effect.

    -Change the SP1 and have the True Accuracy last longer
    -Immunity to Stun, Concussion and Inverted Controls while Focused
    -Have the SP2 inflict a heavy Armour Break
    -Make his current Awakened Ability an ability that he has unawakened
    -Have his Awakened Ability grant him up to 6 Cruelty buffs and/or Prowess buffs from certain attacks of which scale in power based on sig level

    Cyclops (Both): Never drop below 1/2 bar of power, 15 percent Power Gain increase, Armor Shatter after two successful SP1s

    Hela: Persistent Charge Mechanic to where she carries maximum of three Furies from fight to fight but no fewer than 1

    OG Vision: Flat 6 percent chance for projectiles to do no damage (lowered density), Flat 6 percent chance to gain five seconds of Armor Up and Fury on each light attack in a combo (diamond density)

    - Vulture - stack incinerates, decoy buff stack max 5
    - Jane foster - inflict passive shock dealing 40% of her attack for 3 seconds with every hit for 12 seconds after special attack

    Psylocke: If the opponent is affected by her passive Power Lock, Psylocke's SP2 Power Lock is replaced by a vulnerability debuff (Opponents lose 50% of any critical resistance) and a Precision buff for Psylocke granting +750 Critical rating.
