**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.

  • For every one of these, I've either complained about the way it used to work or explicitly wished for this update more than once within the last two weeks. Absolutely love this!
  • Hear hear rwhack. The one major complaint I would add is that the gold economy is every bit as outdated as the potion system. "Just grind arena," everyone says. And yet the BC return per fight, and therefore the average gold return, hasn't been increased in months, maybe more. I honestly can't remember. Meanwhile we're…
  • T3 is the most ridiculous one. T1 has lots of links, but you can also use a backup if needed. T3, everyone has their own path, and any given path can have links from up to three others, two of which are themselves linked by a fourth and fifth. Essentially the entire last part of the map is so locked together that if you…
  • Given the massive uproar, couldn't you at least delay seasons? No one will complain about another week, unless maybe they bought a shell and were trying to game the system. Just delay the start and get a system people want to play. @"Kabam Miike" @"Kabam Lyra"
  • Just finished our first war, and it was as bad as expected. The guy who killed the boss hadn't left his bed yet and half the BG was completely unreachable because they were at work and it was too early for a lunch break. We finished, but again, this new system is so much worse to navigate. I don't even care if you keep…
  • @DNA3000 bless you for finding the @"Kabam Miike" quote specifically stating matchmaking would work the way Lyra then said was impossible. The issue there isn't just vagueness, it's that Kabam so often issues clarifications that later turn out to be completely wrong, and then they imply we just didn't understand.
  • Do you boost for AQ? If not, it's not really the same thing. We'll see how this goes, but I still think at best it's poorly implemented.
  • (admittedly copied from my separate post on this issue) Did it not occur to Kabam in designing this system that you would be moving the start time of wars forward (earlier) in the day by an average of at least four hours?? The earliest offense could begin in the old system (and therefore, critically, end) was 2 pm EST.…
  • Unfortunately this doesn't work either. Imagine on Wednesday you get assigned a match at 3:30 EST and then on Friday you get assigned a match at 2:30 EST. That's how the system is supposed to work, such that everyone can be matched with everyone, and yet if both phases were 24 hours long, offense would last a full hour…
  • I went and re-read the announcement, and see what you mean, but I hope you can understand how so many of us found this graphic, which clearly labels the start time of offense, misleading or confusing. Furthermore, did it not occur to Kabam in designing this system that you would be moving the start time of wars forward…
  • It's a problem because wars above a certain level require coordination to clear the middle lanes especially as people prefer to use their large boosts only once and do multiple fights under them (as is obviously intended by their hour duration). On top of that, many MCoC players have 9-5 jobs or something similar. The old…
  • I think I have a lot of perspective for this discussion - not only am I currently an officer in a top 5 AW, top 20 AQ alliance that is scrambling to replace multiple retiring members, all but one of whom are explicitly citing burnout and short breaks, but I have been an officer in an alliance that fell apart due to…
  • Can back this up at least with the L3. I've got a video I can share of Luke Cage getting nailed with a heavy while totally frozen following the L3. Any other character would've been in dire straits.
  • This has to be what's up. My alliance was top 30 two wars ago. Granted we lost twice, but my understanding was that the old tier 1 had almost 300 alliances in it. Even if you say it's 200, that would mean the new t3 cutoff would equate to placing 101. We're currently in t3 and there is no way we dropped 70 slots in two…
  • Lot of good points, but a couple things: 5* shards are more plentiful now than when first released, yes. They are not, however, much more plentiful than they were a month ago, and Kabam has not announced an increase to war rewards or anything like that to go with these changes to make them more plentiful in the future.…
  • @"Kabam Miike" can we get any clarity on why matchmaking is taking multiple hours now on a regular basis? My alliance requeued immediately after each war last week and was only able to play two because of how bad it's gotten.
  • If that's the motivation, this should be an additional crystal, not a replacement for the primary source of advancement for the strongest part of the community.
  • This is either deliberately malevolent or reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of progression in this game. Every once in a new moon when a champ like Blade comes along, people go for him just because they want him that much. But usually, the decision to go for any given feature crystal is made because you are looking…
  • I'm all for more interesting fights, but these changes do not convince many of us you're really thinking things through. Node 35 was already one of the hardest nodes on the map. In tier 1, you basically have 3 options - SESM, OG Vision, and OG Daredevil. Most of us only have one of those, and as is, he easily times out on…
  • You're not wrong, but I still think that's fair (not saying you disagree). It still encourages bringing someone like Hawkeye or Vision over Wolverine, the same way Spiked Armor encourages someone like Crossbones over, say, Iron Fist.
