Usually when we have a "weak" calendar, a secondary weekly calendar will come out for a special event sometime during the month. I would reserve judgment for now.

Gwenpool will probably go for 7 million, which is just ridiculous. By the time we get to iceman, the basic cutoff could be as high as 8 million. I know arena is supposed to be competitive, but at what point is it just not worth the effort.

Well how convient for someone who doesn't grind to complain about those complain. Just let people vent, this isn't the first time nor will it be the last. I'm happy that I didn't go for hyperion since the cutoff would be insanely high, but I can definetly symapthize with those who put in 6+ million only to miss the cutoff.

High cutoffs are not good for anyone. If you are a grinder seeing this hyperion cutoff will push you even more, which will increase the cutoff. If you have played this game long enough and are in a high tier in AW or AQ, then you are definetly paying to play. Either with your money or your time, it just depends which you value more. Obviously arena is the best way to farm units, gold, and champions, but it is very repetitive and can burn you out as a player.

Switch him to swashbucking mode. Bait his heavy attacks and specials, and of course it helps if you know how to intercept.

You would still be considered incredibly lucky. Most people pull one 4* every 100-150 PHC's. That being said when you get lucky is completely random. I once got two 4* champs when I opened 5 PHC's at one time. I've also gone 6+ months without a single 4* from a PHC.

You shouldn't try LOL with any 4 star champ unless your willing to spend an insane amount of units. The enrage timer will wreck you more times than you can count. 5* winter soldier isn't a good choice either because he doesn't hit hard enough, and against bleed immune champs it's going to be especially difficult. The rewards are terrible considering the difficulty of the content. Even if you have a solid roster of 5* champs you will struggle, and the collector fight is just another sad money grab attempt. You COULD justify the difficulty if the rewards were amazing, but that sadly isn't the case.

I would have put up 75 million in the few hours of downtime lol.... Seriously you can't arbitrarily add arena points to people's accounts. At this point all they can do is add a 3rd arena for Vodoo and SL.
