Blocking not registering

I don't know if it's my phone but often when I'm pressing my thumb down on the left side of the screen to block, the game doesn't register that I have my thumb pressed down, and this has cost me so many fights.

    This is happening A LOT. Please address the block issue not registering. It is making the game unplayable. Many people have commented on this in multiple threads.
