I mean I can't speak to whether it was enough or not, but I'm almost positive if someone spent 2k or so, they're not getting that much back. These things usually go out in a generic package, and I don't much see people getting back what they went all in with. Just a voice of reason. Not really an argument that it was enough, to be clear.
The bug list is bigger than that... it’s like worm virus - leave it alone for too long it will eventually spread too big until it takes too long to decode a fix. Granted I’m not a gamecoder or any level of an code genius, but I imagine whenever there is an issue it should be handled as quickly as possible because that’s what we, the consumer, expect the producer to keep it stable and ongoing or else where are all the cash really going to?
Really hoping this is some sort of “Hey we released a bugged fight so here’s a general small compensation for everyone whether you did it bugged or not”
Then hopefully there will be another compensation for us that actually fought the bugged GM….I imagine there is about a 1% chance of that being the case though
My alt received no compensation for 1 lane done during the weekend.
got the compensation and I haven’t even entered the quest

I've literally only gone in for a mess around. Not one defender beat and I got the same comp so your alt not getting any for doing a lane is clearly wrong

I don’t think anyone expected to get back exactly what they used. I was easily 40 revives deep before I gave up counting, and even a 10 stack of level 2s would have been sufficient. Or a nice stash of level 3s and no health pots.
Thank you all for the feedback, and I'm sorry that this Comp package isn't what you were expecting.
Context: The Comp Package went out to all players that started the quest before the Bug was fixed, and is based on the difference between resources we saw Players using before and after the bug was fixed. I see a lot of players saying that they used a bunch of revives, but players that played the fights after the Bug was fixed (roughly 6 hours after launch) also still used a lot of resources. The difference on average was what we based the package on.
This is NOT compensation for the ongoing control issues we've been experiencing.
I've also let the team know about the feedback here. Obviously, there are lots going on right now, and we're looking at many things, but I can make the sentiment known. No Promises that will go anywhere though.

im pretty sure i did this fight within the first 3 hours and i received 3... T H R E E Revives. Excuse me? This has to be a meme
Yes. On average (and this is hard to calculate because this is very much a skill-based fight), users that did the fight while it was bugged used 3 revives more than those that did it after it was fixed. That's rounding up.

This is just insulting… you’re telling me, if the grandmaster wasn’t bugged, I would have used 22 revives instead of 25 revives? That’s ridiculous!
You literally said that you based this off of everyone that started the quest (not finished), so if someone starts the quest and uses no revives and leaves the quest before grandmaster, that would skew your numbers wildly…

This is a huge slap in the face.
It was not based on those users, but included them in the compensation.

bud if you can calculate the exact amount of cavs to compensate us for that we bought with money shouldn't be to hard of a stretch to do a revive and potion check

Oh absolutely not. That amount of Data would be insane, and again, we're not giving back the Potions and Revives used, but the difference we can estimate based on when the fight was bugged vs after the fix.

I started this quest almost immediately after it went live. After reaching the Grandmaster painlessly enough (maybe 3 revives), I was absolutely decimated by the bugged Grandmaster. I blew through my whole stash of potions (10) and units (almost 900) and still had to spend a little to get him down simply because I was in too deep.
THIS is the response we get? Total gaslighting. Some vague answer about the difference in resources between players that experienced the bug and those that didn’t. Some manufactured “average” that really has nothing to do with what those of us who did the fight bugged went through. Honestly, would it kill them to be fair just once?

Thousands upon thousands of players analyzing their fights and properly compensating them? If you want your comp before sop ends, let alone before the year ends then they have to do averages/other solutions
Dude this is a Hude slap in the face from Kabam. I knew id end up spending a few revives on the first path i took but damn this is outrageous. my champion was capped at 8 competence as well as other issues (parry/dex/fun stimes) and we get 3. Man this is really infuriating and depressing at the same time. Very Shameful
This is not for the Parry/Dex Issues. That is going to have to be dealt with separately. This is strictly for the Competence Cap issue.

Can we have an approximate time of when this will happen? What I want to ask is the compensation will come before or after SoP Finale ends?
I'd like to know this as well. Today marks day 50 of the ongoing controls issues and we have yet to receive compensation for it. If it's going to be after SOP, then I'm just going spend my time doing something else.
Thank you all for the feedback, and I'm sorry that this Comp package isn't what you were expecting.

So I used around 1200 units plus stashed revives and potions.. you’re saying if I take the same path and the same champ to fight the grandmaster, it should take a minimum of 1080 units?
If so, I’ll do the path right now, just to prove you wrong. 🙄

So now that we have some responses from mods, any update on this month’s compensation now that’s it’s the 25th?

That’s kind of my point. What data? If I could see the data that says that the average difference in revives used between those that fought the bugged Grandmaster and those who fought him after the fix was only 3 revives then I’d begrudgingly drop it. I did that fight bugged. It was stupidly hard and had I known it wasn’t working intended I would’ve cut my losses.
I’ve done a couple of paths since and the difference in the revives I used from the first fight to my last is waaaay more than 3. I know that’s anecdotal evidence but I trust that more than Kabam’s “data”.

Well then, since every bug is dealt separately, why isn't there a lag/freeze comp package too? You know, the other bugs after your "hotfix" you NEVER talk about in the announcements?
