Communication. Again

So, input fixes got pushed back. Happens. Takes a village.
Also takes a village to keep the game going. So, how about some updates on when the player base will expect a real “care package” for hanging around while the game is being fixed.
I know, I know. They’ve said it will be someday. It’s free stuff. Well, someday has been more than 6 months. How about some updates? Yeah. We’ve gotten a few nuggets about it progressing. So what. Just think the player base in general needs to have some information on if compensation will come. Because someday isn’t really an answer or a commitment. Will the compensation scale better than Realm of Champions? Will it be progression based? If the wait continues, will you send a real compensation package in the interim? Fair questions. Just think being proactive and engaged is a better way to go. How does it really harm anything to just get in front of things and show some appreciation to a player base that has stuck around during some trying times?

Also, like… nobody’s making you play right now? If the state of the game is so bad that you *need* compensation to play it, just don’t. It’s a game. It’s supposed to be fun. If you aren’t having fun, don’t play.
Since the January update and now the subsequent update we got this past week, we’ve gotten a pretty clear timeline on when to expect the fix. You could absolutely just take a break between now and then, we’re pretty close to it anyway.
I’m not trying to be antagonistic, I’m trying to put forward actual suggestions to solve your problem. Kabam has always been tight lipped about compensation packages. As they should be, because when I look at the ridiculous response to compensation package we got for a single cancelled war, I’d keep my mouth shut too.
Play the game, have fun, clear content. Or don’t. Wholly up to you.
-A hand sanitizer
-2 pairs of Face Masks
-A pair of disposable Gloves.
-Some almonds or dry fruits.
-Juiceboxes, chips or fries
-Definitely Some chocolates
-Tea Bags and cookies
-Some aromatic herbs
-couple brownies
-Some hashbrowns
-Nuggets or wings
-Fresh Homegrown Fruits
-Fresh homegrown Green Veggies
-A pack of milk
-A Gallon of water
Maybe some flowers and scented candles.
Protection.
If not then I'm fine with weekly AQ/AW consumables.
Actionable would be-
I feel like we need team pots for aw vs the single pots like with AQ. 7 per week vs 5 would be better.
I would like to see more in-game messages for communication instead of random posts on threads.
That's actionable feedback they can take back and make considerations on. So I'll ask you again, what should a "real" care package look like?
What changes in communication do you want to see?
Let’s say a cities water supply gets messed up from a company dumping waste into it. The response shouldn’t be “we will get you clean water someday. Eventually. But drink dirty water in the mean time.” If they can’t fix the over arching problem right away, then engage with the community to find an interim solution. I don’t think a few energy refills or revives does that.
And if the solution is don’t play, then that in of itself is a problem. Not for me. But for KABAM.
As far as actionable items, that’s a no win. Because whatever is suggested will get spammed. But a little engagement with the player base would go towards that middle ground.
I don’t need the free stuff. They can actually keep
It. It’s strictly the principle.
Additionally, we usually save discussions regarding compensation until after an issue has been resolved. This is partially because what would be deemed "appropriate" can change as our understanding of an issue develops, or simply as time passes, and it can be difficult to fully measure the impact of an issue until it is fully resolved. Also, in some cases, those who would be most suited to measuring that impact are also the best suited to fix the original problem, and we would not want to slow down the process of finding a fix by diverting their attention to an assessment that would likely need to be repeated after the fix was implemented. Hope that gives some insight into the process!
