Fps rate at mcoc?

While 90 fps has become the standard in many games now. I don't understand why we still have to play Mcoc at 30 fps? Now kabam needs to take action on this matter! I want to play this game smoothly.

because to update a game as old as mcoc would possibly require rewriting so much of the code.
its not so simple to update old stuff to suddenly run with all the new bells and whistles.

maybe they could do some hacky way to unlock it and have it perceived to run in higher FPS but that would possibly cause even more input issues than we already have.

And what? Will the moon explode if they bump up the fps? Like omg 😱

    First,

Second, frame rate in Unity games in general, and MCOC very specifically that uses frame-specific timing to make its combat mechanics work, is a non-trivial thing to modify. It was in fact the fact that a Unity upgrade *fixed* a timing bug that was long persisting in the Unity engine that completely broke things like Parry a while back, that took the better part of forever to fix (and still cause issues to this day).

I can't say higher frame rates won't happen eventually, but they require very specific and almost universal changes to the game engine to make happen. It is the sort of thing that will happen when it happens.

I was foolish enough to think this was understood and that in a fighting game "upping the framerate" isn't just something you can do

No, but the game won't really work at all. When every interaction is based on frames, you can't just "bump up the FPS". I would love to see a 60 FPS MCoC, but it will need work. It's not just a switch that can be flipped.

So what was the deal back when we could run and play at 60 fps on a number of Android devices? I remember people thought they'd conveniently figure 60+Hz standard out right when iPhone got 90/120Hz, but plot twist! it actually got worse.

60 fps would be too fast for human eyes to catch the sp beams and dex them. It would require too much processor memory too. Might lead to battery damages like CoD Warzone did recently.

Well it's officially locked on 30fps
But my device supports and gives choice to set screen on 60 or 120hz, when I play MCoC, I set it to 120hz and for some reason, the game does becomes very smooth, like the software is forcing mcoc to run above 30 or presenting it in better frames at the very least.
