And with today's live stream, the choice has been made. Your winner of the 2025 Summoner's Choice is:

Mr. Knight. Now, followers of my Summoner's Choice series might be a bit disappointed, but it is important to recognize that while the Darkety Darkest champ did not win, we still got a very dark champion. Dark hair, dark clothes, dark Trans Am. Mr. Knight was shot in the head and the bullet ricocheted off a metal plate in his skull and ripped off his face. That is very dark, or at least very metal.
And even though I thought that Shroud might be the better choice overall, on top of being the Darkety Darkest champion in the pool, I'm not bitter. Far from it: I have high hopes that the developers will provide us with an excellent champion design capable of being a highly valuable part of every player's roster. I can only speculate on what innovative things they have in store for us, although I am personally looking forward to activating Turbo Boost in Act 9.

And with that, another Summoner's Choice event comes to an end. Not Shrouded in Glory, but Knight Riding off into the sunset. I suspect that with one win and one near miss in the books, Kabam is going to try to mix things up for 2026 and give us a pool of champions that Darkety Dark will not be an effective tool to analyze. Fortunately, I have an entire year to devise a new methodology for analyzing Summoner's Choice options, and I have a whole new toolset to bring to bear. Rather than leave this in the hands of a blob of grey goo (i.e. my brain) I will instead be using advanced AI models for 2026. What could possibly go wrong there?
