Welcome to the Marvel Contest of Champions Forums!

We encourage you all to use this space to openly discuss thoughts, ask questions, exchange information and connect with other Summoners from around the world. This is a quick reminder that all discussions must follow the below rules.

These rules are in place to encourage a healthy forum environment that supports constructive discussion, while keeping it free of posts that clutter and add no value.

The short version: be good to each other.

We encourage all types of feedback (both the good and the bad) and work hard to keep the discussion constructive. The below rules are to give you guidance on how to keep it fair and relevant for all.

Over time these rules may be updated, it’s a good idea to check back from time to time. Continued use of our forums indicates that you agree to the following guidelines.

1. Don’t shame other Summoners for their decisions or lack of experience within The Contest. This community gets thousands of new members every day who are looking for advice, education, and friendship. Keep advice supportive and constructive. With your mentoring they may become that perfect Alliance member you’ve been looking for. We want this community to thrive with new voices, if we see that someone is being harassed we will take action.

2. We expect all Summoners to treat each other with respect. Insults, personal attacks, harassment, inflammatory posting, or generally rude posts will not be tolerated in either the forums, or private messages. This also includes the use of inappropriate, vulgar, discriminatory or offensive language of any kind.

3. Off Topic, Spamming, Bumping, Petitions, Dog-piling or repeatedly posting the same post or topic is not constructive. Neither is re-posting a closed or deleted thread. If a thread is deleted, it is done so because it breaks a forum rule.

4. We facilitate this community for you to have a place to discuss, support and connect with each other. We’re here to keep the conversation constructive and fair. We won’t be jumping into every thread or post or responding to every direct tag. However, please know we do read them all! If you need assistance with an issue that you feel needs a direct response please use the link in the game to contact Support directly.

5. Our moderators don’t have access to your in-game details. if you have a question or a concern regarding your account please use the link in the game to contact Support.

6. Don’t post anything that breaks the law, Kabam’s terms of service, or encourage others to do so.

7. We will remove all posts that mention buying or selling accounts, or link to sites that offer these or any third party services which break our Terms of Service.

8. Promoting the abuse of payment, rating, refund or other systems is prohibited.

9. Make your posts constructive. Constructive posts are easier for us and the community at large to address. Your feedback is valued, however duplicate or seriously off-topic posts aren’t. Where applicable we will move, merge, close or remove posts to keep the discussion going in a constructive direction.

10. We encourage constructive criticism and dialog, however posts that are intentionally created to wind up or incite the community aren’t constructive and will be removed at the moderator’s discretion. These types of posts typically have no value to the conversation and create a toxic environment for your fellow Summoners.

11. You are entitled to one Forum account. Making multiple accounts may result in the banning of all Forum accounts. To be clear, this includes extra accounts made after being banned, or accounts made to inflate agreeing opinions.

12. Respect the decisions of the Moderation team. Consider them final. Arguing with moderators will not change the outcome. When you use our spaces please abide by our rules - even if you disagree with them.

13. For the safety and well-being of yourself and others, we will remove any personal or private information posted. This includes, but isn’t limited to: game or forum account passwords, physical addresses, real names, and email addresses. This applies to your own information, as well as information belonging to your fellow Summoners or Kabam staff.

14. We will not publicly discuss any actions taken on your game or forum accounts, we expect the same from you. Posts talking about banning, account infractions and public posting of private correspondence will be removed at our discretion.

15. We take cheating very seriously, it undermines everything The Contest stands for. However leave that moderation to us. Posts accusing other Summoners or Alliances of cheating will be removed. If you are having problems with another Summoner or suspect someone of cheating, please report this to Support or privately message a moderator.

16. Don’t impersonate moderators, or pretend to be a representative of the game.

17. Don’t accuse fellow Summoners of being 'Kabam Employees' or shills. An opposing comment or observation isn’t a crime, and those types of accusations shut down any constructive discussion within the thread. We promise that Kabam Moderators and Developers will always let you know they are a member of staff. You will know this by their Forum title, Kabam_ModName. We have a ZERO sock puppet policy and will continue to do so.

18. Please refrain from using any other color other than the standard message color. When a post is riddled with colors it makes it very hard to read. Use of bold, italics, strike-throughs, bullets, and numbered lists are strongly encouraged to make your post more readable. Orange text is reserved exclusively for Moderators as it makes it easy for the community to see when an Official post or comment has been added.

19. Usernames with inappropriate words or phrases will be manually changed.

Have fun, keep it clean!

If you see a post that you feel violates our forum rules, please use our report feature rather than sending a moderator a private message. It is far faster and easier for us to find and moderate a flagged or reported post.

If you fail to follow these rules, you may receive a warning, temporary, or permanent ban depending on the severity of the infraction. This is left up to the discretion of our moderation team. In truly serious instances, violating our forum rules may also result in the temporary or permanent suspension of your game account.

The legal write up:

Kabam excludes all liability for: (a) any action taken in response to breaches of these Rules of Conduct. The responses described in the Rules of Conduct are not exhaustive, and Kabam may take any other action, in its sole discretion, it deems appropriate; (b) any loss or damage arising from the use of the forum by you; (c) any content posted or uploaded by users of the forum which shall include, without limitation, any liability for offensive and/or defamatory posts.
