I’m aware of the upcoming changes, but how they read out and how they work in game can be worlds apart. Hell, Carnage’s abilities read out like he’d be great before the update, then we played with him and realized he hit like a wet noodle.

Ya, Medusa is awesome. Proxima is probably next after that. Then there’s a big field of pretty good champs like KG and Thor and CM and Heimdall and Angela, jury is still out on Venom/Carnage till the change goes live.

As someone who doesn’t do arenas at all and refuses to purchase crystals, I always have to rely on skill because I definitely won’t have the latest greatest champs. But man, it sure is the toughest route, especially when you see others breeze through stuff you spent hours figuring out how to get through just because they…

AW Gold 1 AQ Map 5 Uncollected Not the top I know, but close enough that the competition gets pretty tough. Just gets old always chasing that new gimmick. Was the Blade trinity. Now it’s IWIM for defender kills. Killmonger trinity to beat IWIM. Emma Frost to beat, apparently just about anything (prowess charges + L2 =…

I won’t complain ;)

It’s fun till you catch up to the heavy hitters and realize you need the latest whiz-bang mechanics (conveniently possessed only by the newest characters) to compete. So you either grind arenas for ungodly amounts of hours, or unload lots of cash to get the crystals that contain said newest champs. Skill and enthusiasm…

Technically MD wasn’t broken, Dexterity was broken because it overwrote your crit buff every time you evaded even if you already had one unused and the interaction with MD made MD crazy powerful. The result of the fix just changed the broken dynamic between the two masteries. If the word broken bothers you, try overpowered…

I’ll have to qualify mine. Favorite Marvel character who happens to be in MCOC: Wolverine (90’s X-men cartoon and comics cemented that for me) Favorite MCOC champ to use: Hyperion

Wait for what? He’s low level, man. He’s not going to just get good stuff sitting around. He needs to go get it, and he needs to be able to clear some content with the champs he has first, just like we all did when we first started out. He doesn’t have any top tier champs, but once you cross a certain threshold, 4 and then…

That’s kind of my point though. Kabam squeezed every dollar they could from the broken mechanic generating tons of kills (my Magik used to clean house!), and then after the Blade trinity renders it near worthless, they FINALLY address it. My point is it should have been fixed right from the start. I’m not sure how anyone…

If people had control over what champs they pulled your statement would be somewhat correct. But we don’t. It’s luck of the draw. So while some people sat on Dormamu and Magik and Mordo and Juggernaut, some of us were just the unfortunate saps trying to figure out how to not die horribly to the broken mechanic.

WS/Punisher L2 start with a physical kick, but the projectile portion is also unblockable. Edit: They used to be anyways. To be fair, I haven’t fought either of them in AW for a very very long time.

Dorcor Voodoo has a great regen, and is fantastic against anyone that gains buffs (like Groot or Medusa or Old Man Logan etc.) since you can turn them into poison with his L1. Ultron has regen and dual immunity. Nuff said. Iron Patriot isn’t very good to be honest, and being unawakened I’d say he’s pretty useless. Hood is…

Kabam has refused to follow any set pattern or formula for how their “unblockable” specials work. It varies from champ to champ. I don’t know if it’s an issue with code complexity or if it’s intentional or what, I just know it’s inconsistent and you have to learn how it interacts with each champ. It’s the same with milking…

Compare MD to any of the other class specific masteries. None of them are anywhere near the game changer that MD was. And let’s be very very clear here, MD was a game changer because the way it interacted with Dexterity was broken. Clearly gaining power every time someone evades was not the intent of that interaction. If…

New champs with uber new powers and higher ratings bring in the whales, buying up crystals and generating Kabam a bunch of money. Since most of the big name Marvel champs came out early in the game, the new ones are going to be lesser and lesser known. There's not much monetary value in boosting old champs from Kabam's…

It's the carrot on a stick. New champions with uber new powers and higher ratings lead to whales buying tons of crystals, generating Kabam lots of $$$$$. And since most of the biggest names in the Marvel Universe came out in the game waaaaaaaay back when, they're kinda left by the wayside. That's why we end up with lesser…

If her heals would kick off without her having to be hit, I'd actually use her a lot more. She is just too fragile. I mean, Nightcrawler takes less damage through block. Her abilities are great, but you can't really use her for more than a few fights because after blocking like 10 strikes against just evenly rated…

No, as I said, it was in AQ. I don't have time to play QA for Kabam, and since this is an ability I only use in special circumstances, it's difficult to tell if it was just a glitch or a proper bug. As for the Magik bit, I realized why it seemed to be 100% on the power lock. While the chance to power lock is technically…

Ya, she's great. Only problem is she has squat for health and takes a tone of damage through block. That, and trying to charge up 20 charges is no easy task. The AI loves to just chain heavy or pound on you rapid-fire-like when you hold block. But when you can get it off, ya, it's game over.

He doesn't mean nerf. Pretty sure English is not his first language here, so it's forgivable. He is basically saying the playing field is very unlevel from one champ to the next. But don't expect any kind of real response here man. Everyone knows there are the handful of great champs, then all the rest. I totally agree…

They drop it down to 30 minute timers as an apology all the time. The idea that 30 minute timers is some detriment to us is absurd. You mean I can finish AQ by 10am and release my champs to do other stuff? BOY ISN'T THAT AWFUL!!! :D
-
It's both. That's even what Kabam said in their statements. The iOS has a latent issue, and something in the game code triggers it. The iOS issue is rather minimal really without the game. I don't believe any other apps are causing the heating issues to the degree (SeeWhatIDidThere?) we're experiencing.

Guys, I'm not here to talk about whether it's good or bad. It's a bug. 50% ≠ 100%. End of story. @will-o-wisp Totally not the case here. You get the first tick immediately when the bleed is placed, so instead of ticking once every 1 second as the bleed would normally do, you get a fresh tick every time you hit her as it…
-
Ya, I get ya. It's not a situation that comes up often, I generally just use her L1 so as not to consume souls (more souls = bigger heals). I only use the L2 for those regen champs. Guess I'll try to remember to capture it next time I use her.
-
I'm aware of Guillotine's soul requirements, and I assure you she had plenty of souls. I didn't realize Magik's power lock wasn't 100%. She's been my top champ for years and I swear, until this most recent AQ I've NEVER had her NOT apply that power lock with L2. But I guess I can't complain about that, lol.
-
Main reason for the disparity in occurrences between Magik and Guillotine is that I use Magik's L2 all the time, whereas with Guillotine I only use it on enemies that regen.
