My concern is thanks to this new genius plan I will actually start getting reduced EQ rewards. Honestly not looking forward to tomorrow. The whales are gonna get the world handed to them and the rest of us will fight for scraps, and the gap will only widen.

Bad move Kabam. Probably wouldn't be as bad if it was only EQ though. Expanding this prestige change beyond EQ is absolutely terrible.

well you won’t see the rewards. my now nerfed account is eligible for 5 out of 15 reward tiers yay kabam for attacking the entire player base who are valiant completed all story done all hard content and now it’s you didn’t spend loads of money and rank up the same 30 champs now your progression will be halted and you can’t progress as fast cause we suck up to big spenders only and don’t care about nobody else playing.

As long as the new rewards are on par with, preferably better, I don't think I'll really care. I think this is maybe the stupidest move kabam has made since I started playing (2018), though. Guess we'll all see tomorrow...

On the one hand, yes, if the whole ocean level drops, no one's boat sinks, it just sits lower along with all the others.

On the other hand, no one likes to see their prestige score drop, even if we don't know the relative impact globally.

Of course, communication from Kabam about where everything stands would help, but honestly, I don't think they want to do that. I think it's better for them financially to leave people hanging and have them freak out over FOMO and status. Those are two very strong incentives to make impulsive purchases, which this game thrives on.

If some people lose their minds and quit, that's a small drop in the bucket compared to all the money they're going to make over this new mysterious prestige race.

2 of our guys just quit the game. I cant believe they actually followed through with this. Its basically the death of f2p in competitive alliances

It's a buff

Varying the rewards by prestige actually makes a lot of sense, especially as they seem hesitant to release a new progression. The gap from a new Valiant account to an old Valiant account is probably the largest gap a progression has ever seen. Expanding rewards for larger accounts makes sense.

But tanking the accounts of players that have worked hard to get to the top, but who have also been unable to drop thousands or more on the game to expand their R4s, is an unfair effect of this change. It is a change to the benefit of spenders before it is a change to the benefit of larger Valiant accounts.
