He's another of the game's over 100 mid-tier champions.
There are at least two every month. I think we may never again see a champion who's useful in every scenario. The focus has increasingly been on champions for extremely specific scenarios or focused on specific defenders.
He's more of a counter to Onslaught and mutants in general. I'd say he was specifically designed for Captain Britain and her Neuroshocks.
He'll be a reasonable defender; it seems the cosmic ones handle him without any major issues.
Unfortunately, all the versatile champions have fallen victim to Rarity Lock: Kate Bishop, Hulkling, Hercules, Magik, Quake, Ghost, Valkyrie, Scorpion, Absorbing Man...
There's no point in expecting anything like this from new champions. Not every champion needs to be versatile or extremely good on offense. But I got the feeling his rotation is very slow. I didn't feel like using him at all.

What I don't understand they keep dropping mid attackers but op defenders with a huge list to their abilities. It feels unbalanced.

I think this is more perception than reality. There’s a lot of attackers released designed to counter meta defenders and vice versa a lot of defenders designed to be very difficult to beat without specific counters, but a defender that only a few attackers can easily take down is considered OP while an attacker that only shines against a few defenders is considered mid. This seems asymmetric and biased towards defenders, but its essentially two sides of the same design coin.

I also think there’s a greater emphasis on damage output among a lot of the community than there is among the champion designers. Again, the current design philosophy tends to focus on threats and counters, and less on speed. Damage output plays a role in the value of a champion as designed, but it is just one. It tends to feel like more than half the focus of evaluations on the player side of the fence. Battlegrounds probably plays a significant role here, but to be frank its difficult to solely blame BG for this when this bias has existed every day of the existence of the game.

How about you stop crying and try the sp1 sp3 rotation from the video above on ROL WS instead? I'm getting 250k damage with a r1, like I said the damage is not bad when you know what you're doing and his kit is very complex. I don't care about your narcissism or arguing any of that, only think I do want to argue is the fact that you're calling him trash you haven't tried his abilities fully yet. Watch the video against Bullseye and Spider Woman and then come back and say he's trash again lol it's not just one defender.

He can do Bullseye btw, with a completely different rotation. I think people are being way too quick to judge lol he's not a champ who's easy to figure out, his mechanics are very complex and for non energy matchups sp3 is the way to go. I assume nobody here had been using sp3 this way so far.

Also he showcases what I explained, you start with sp2 instead so you have time to build up charges again before the ten energize so you have more core charges, he's slower but he can even do Spider Woman this way.

Yeah I watched this video this morning.
I don't have Solvarch and honestly his design is not my cup of tea, but his damage and utility looks pretty good from what I can tell.
Don't really understand why Tairique is so upset.

Yeah I don't know what he's complaining about either. He keeps glazing Patriot who's only good for Photon, and Gentle who's only good for skill champs but then complains about Solvarch who is a very tanky defender without a counter and takes: Onslaught, Jean, Capt. Britain, Cassandra, Sinister, Zola, Bullseye and Spider Woman. Hell, he can even take Enchantress once he gets to that sp3 and nukes her the same way he nuked Bullseye. It's like this guy has everything completely twisted around.

Go watch the video I posted? It has multiple rotations that give him decent enough damage to deal with the current problematic meta defenders. He literally takes all current meta relevant mutants, Zola, Spider Woman and Bullseye in under a minute what else do you want? You keep glazing Patriot every single day but this is trash? Patriot is literally ass for anyone that isn't Photon.

Anyways, you build to three bars and while at 100 core charges you throw sp1 to get 5 energize then do mm mlllm while they're stunned and sp3 immediately. If a r1 is getting 240k damage in one rotation then a r3 should be close to ko WS with one, if he doesn't you're doing something wrong and just to prove that I will r3 mine before Bastion so you can finally stop complaining and spreading misinformation.
