Re: Adaptive Event Quest Difficulty: Negative Impact on Casual Players
I'm a casual player, who plays for a bit of fun, but I no longer do the event purely because of the difficulty level & not being able to change it down to using the champions I like to use, which are no match for the 7star champions, unless I spend on boosts (which is probably the intention) - it's getting to the point where I no longer see the fun in the game & I'm thinking of packing it in after many years - but at least it was good whilst it lasted
Re: First Appearance vs regular 7star
Won't replace. He will just become shiny in his portrait
Re: Anyone R4 their Yondu yet?
Thanks @ItsClobberinTime - appreciate the comprehensive write up. Makes me inclined to go for it!
Re: Does Anyone Else…
bro,..i am quite calm,..sitting here having a pint right now,.:and cheers to you and your opinion 🍻 ,..that’s the great thing about the forums,..everyone is entitled to their own.
I did read your post,..and i have often seen Mike and Jax referenced to a specific time,..”when things were better”,..how convenient lol.
I respectfully disagree that the forums are “worse off”,..the more opinions on improving the game the better,..and for the most part we are all grown ups here ,..no need to obliterate or ban people for speaking their point of view ,..(as long as it’s not over the top and discriminating towards others),..and i think the current mods have shown great patience and tolerance in this aspect.
As far as the game itself goes,.it is evolving (for good and sometimes bad),…depending on which game modes you enjoy or not. There has been a ton of end game content released even after they both left that many were pining for,…so I don’t necessarily agree that the game was “better off” a year or two ago.
Communication is a tough one, I specifically remember times when both Mike and Jax were MIA from the forums,..i get it,..it can be a hostile place where people pick apart your words and twist them against you,…(nature of the beast i guess).
But then what does everyone want them to communicate about?,..they need to have answers,..and sometimes that takes time.
Spider woman nerf is a good example,…doesn’t happen for several months from my understanding,..but everyone wants an answer RIGHT NOW!!,..lol.
But maybe they need to discuss and look over everything before coming to a conclusion,…which is not unreasonable.
What would be unreasonable is giving everyone an answer before they are prepared to do so,…imo.
Re: Anyone R4 their Yondu yet?
I did the same day I got him and he's been a lot of fun, he definitely can be a very good defender because he does require a counter who can either purify the stiffles and weaknesses, or has power gain, or deals a ton of damage from basic attacks and doesn't require specials, or you just straight up time out against him. However, overall I think a lot of his value comes from what he can do on attack because of a few reasons.
First, the weaknesses allow you to do matchups like this one
Blocked multiple sp1s from her and lost no hp still.
Second, he ramps up faster the more specials the defender throws, makes him great for matchups like these two
Third, most of his damage is dot so he can do defenders who have a lot of crit resistance like this one with no issues
Fourth, he can very easily cook just by hitting on block as well because of the arrow hits which can crit through block and apply the ruptures
Fifth, he only has to bait one or two sp1s the whole fight and after that it's over unless there's a lot of power gain or energize
I played like **** though cause I forgot about the prowess buffs from the meta if you throw the same basic attack twice in a row at the beginning so I got like five poisons on me but if you play properly that buff immunity is down by the time she reaches sp1, after that she's just dead cause she's never going to get to a sp2 again.
So, he is more of an attacker but can work on defense too. Definitely worth the investment, way more reach than Mid Skrull.
Re: How does MCOC choose characters?
For a while it was who’s in the new movie. If they weren’t in the new movie or tv show, the priority was to add a character from that movie’s rogues or allies. I am happy that it seems like they are pulling more from the comics now as the movies and tv shows have slowed down.
Re: How does MCOC choose characters?
Honestly I can see Speedball having two different modes/forms based on both his classic power and the one he got after Civil War, and retained: while the first one grants him a high damage reduction, the second one is for high damage, and could maybe interact with adrenaline.
Anyway, I don't know how they choose the characters. Obviously they have some kind of communication with Marvel (I guess Marvel Studios, but I could be wrong) for certain champions to tie-in with movie releases, but I don't know if there are characters that they cannot use, aside from expired licensed characters (see ROM, Bug...).
