I'm close to doing the same. I've already drastically reduced my $pending and participation in some modes, and feel no regrets, no fomo about it. My most recent experience in BGs that I posted about, has put me one step closer to putting the nail in the coffin.

I've taken small breaks from the game, and couldn't care less about the lame daily log in rewards.

I have another personal MCOC goal that I'm trying to reach. Once I do, I'll see where I go from there.

I don’t want to derail this, but weren’t you just mocking a bunch of us for not liking some recent changes? You literally told someone who’s been here forever to “suck it up buttercup”, despite also complaining about things yourself. I’m not saying you guys are the ones driving people away, but being so hostile and dismissive when someone else has a reasonable complaint can’t be helping.

It’s bad enough when it feels like the people running the game don’t seem to care. 🫤

You can always look at it with a wayback machine. They looked better, but more importantly, they were usable and not riddled with inconveniences and bugs like the game itself.

Which is why I never mocked you, you’re not apart of the group I’m talking about so I don’t see why you would insert yourself in it.

Which is fine you can be upset by it but this is the direction most people want the game to go in and unfortunately you are just collateral damage, they can’t please everyone. People have been complaining about content being too easy and having nothing to do every month other than BGs because the rest of the content is casual and not challenging at all. Of course there are some who don’t like these changes but I can guarantee you the people who actually enjoyed old EQ more than this one (not only in terms of rewards but the mode itself) are the minority. Before this new format there were so many complaints about EQ being a slog with terrible rewards most people didn’t even bother with it, even CCs were making videos about EQ being a useless game mode that was just there taking up space, and there were way more complaints about this back then than there are now about new EQ format. Why? Because contrary to popular belief this game is no longer as casual as it used to be and most people want to play it competitively and plow through challenging content.

If you really want to quit, and I don’t mean to be disrespectful, just do it. You shouldn’t be doing something you no longer enjoy, find something new that better suits your needs and what you consider enjoyment.
