I hate to say, but even though this is just a game, I am deeply offended by the Spider-woman situation. I have been playing this game extremely consistently now for 8 years and I have been a bit of a Kabam apologist throughout this time but my opinions are unfortunately changing, and it has nothing to do with the state of the game. Its a huge, huge game from which the original developers very likely never expected for it to get this big, so the bugs, I can get passed or at least have the patience to let them get to it when they do, but with Spider-woman its a different situation.

Kabam does not sell you crystals to get through story content or any content. There are no awakening gems to purchase to unlock battle grounds or sig stones to increase your rewards at the end of an event (well...I guess that's not necessarily true anymore). Champions are completely different. They are sold explicitly. Their sig stones and awakening gems are purchased explicitly for use on these characters. The amount of time and crystals and money spent to acquire a champion that is actually good and capable of some level of flexibility is very high. The nerfing of Spiderwoman, particularly in the way they did, i.e. nerfing an extraordinary valuable part of her kit on offense, while telling the community that it was a defensive oriented decision is just...offensive.

I spend about 3-5 grand a year on this game. I know that's a bit embarrassing but I just love(d) the game and I thought it was worth it to help stay competitive and to do my part in keeping the lights on. With this change, I am so indignant as a consumer and a patron of this game that I will no longer put one penny into this game for as long as Spider-woman is still getting nerfed offensively. If it goes through, I will never spend again, I will continue to play free to play, enjoy what I get and that's it.

I encourage all of you to do what you feel is right but personally for me, this simply is something I can no longer fun. Spiderwomans utility is not just about flexing on people in battleground, she is a critical character for many players who cannot afford to get every single character that comes out and max them out immediately. That ability you are taking away for many ftp players, or kids that down have adult money is sometimes the only way they'll ever have a shot at taking down a Serpent or a Bullseye (and its not really even a great shot!). I encourage you all to join me but in the end, the game is what and how you want to play it.

Sorry for the long post, I've just never been so disappointed in Kabam.
