Hearing is one thing, actually doing something about it is another. Look at World of Warcraft who didn't do anything for years. A lot of companies don't change to help their players and it hurts them in the long run. Pride is a dangerous thing.

Is MCOC becoming an Idle Game? (half-serious question)

Sorry to pile on with a separate post, but it struck me over the weekend that almost all of my time in the game lately (especially on my mini, which I'm probably going to drop) has been spent... not. playing. the. game. It takes so much energy and so much *time* to autoplay 8 different paths in the semi-obligatory daily quests that I find myself just logging in, hitting autoplay, and putting the phone down to *go play other games on my tablet* while the little characters run around on the screen by themselves and gather resources for me. It reminds me of those mall / restaurant management games that my kids play. If you think about it, it takes about 2 full energy bars to complete the daily autoplay stuff, and you can get about 3 full bars of energy a day without spending units on refills. That makes MCOC in its current state a 2/3 idle game and a 1/3 fighting game. That makes me sad.

Less energy = less people online = less bandwith used = connection problems solved.

They are fixing the server disconnection issues by being disconnected with the people.

They’ll say ‘we hear your feedback,’ but - the only feedback that actually makes them move is revenue loss. No forum post, no survey, no wall of text hits harder than numbers dropping on their end. That’s the only feedback they truly value.

I mean this game has been out for a decade, how could we be constantly fumbling this much so often? Obviously these energy changes are awful, and the new event and side quests were marketed for months for being an improvement over the originals, but they still suck. Literally the only solo content worth doing now is main acts, and even then the rewards for the majority of those are still so dated it’s ridiculous.

Not sure what constitutes Senior leadership, but things have risen to a level that Crashed and Karate appear to have been active much more lately.

I’d just like some of the relief that has been promised since over a month or two ago.

Honestly, I’ve got plenty of pots and crystals and champs, but that would at least start to put some meat behind the “we know the game hasn’t been performing up to our standards” messaging.

While I appreciate the more frequent mod posting on forums, it doesn’t help me when my striker fails to activate (again) trying to finish the overtuned EQ and I get smacked in the face on a fight I was using to heal (because there’s no healing with champ swaps in the overtuned EQ).
