Still probably top 5 worst 7 stars available. Neither max damage nor utility have been improved. It is just easier to get to max ramp up and stay there. Unfortunately the max ramp up is still absolute garbage. It took them 6+ months to bump up a couple durations by 15%. I genuinely question what is going on over there.

He's still trash. Buffs like these (Falcon, JT) shouldn't take too long. You have to open two tabs and actually compare abilities to see the change. The changes are so small that it should require this long, no significant amount of resource nor time went into it.

Whenever a new star rating level, there is a tipping point where you just stop investing in the lower star rating. This is the progression of the game. Ascension was there to ease the transition to 7 stars, not stop them. So the answer isn't to counter this progression with more 6* ascension, but to embrace the change. Let go of the 6 stars like many have this past year. It's 7 stars for the future.
