The extension is for fixing a bug but the banquet is not extending

So far the saga chase champions have all been free. No reason to believe he will be any different.

Toad is already pretty good, and he’s getting a buff. So I have pretty high hopes that he will be good. It reminds me of sinister, but I’m not expecting a sinister level change

So in preparation for 2026, if you plan to contribute data for rank rewards which hopefully should start rolling out tomorrow after the event ends, keep in mind that the best possible data we can have is to know your score, rank and bracket. In other words:

130176 points, rank 3456, bracket 1%

Something like that. The exact points helps us figure out the bracket cutoffs (we look for people above and below a cutoff) and the rank tells us how big the brackets are and how many players made it. Indirectly, it also tells us how many players participated.

If they get posted on the forums and I can find it I will record it, or if it gets submitted to @RichTheMan 's Discord I will try to snag a copy of his banquet spreadsheet eventually to combine with my own data.

And just a note for those that don't usually collect this data. You can only collect rank data BEFORE you claim the rewards. You have to go to your stash and see the reward, your rank (if it is available) is listed in there. But once you claim the reward, that data is gone. You can still submit bracket data, but the rank data will be gone. Usually, rewards with both rank and percentile brackets only show the percentile in the in-game email. I don't know why, it is probably a Thing From The Beginning Of Time decision no one has bothered to revisit nd spend time mucking with.

Any data is helpful and appreciated. But rank + bracket + exact score is the gold standard of data for those of us that collect and analyze such things.

Update T+2 hours

So the banquet has been "over" for about two hours, so of course scoring should have slowed to a crawl or stopped. Right? Right?

Scoring has slowed down, sure. To "only" 3.5 million points per hour. What? We've literally posted 7 million points since shutdown. Since anyone could actually buy SBCs. Which means there can only be points for opening crystals now. 7 million points is 70,000 SBCs. We're only two million points away from actually hitting milestone 65 and seeing milestone 66. Which will likely be another SBC, but still. Maybe four or five thousand players get that crystal, and maybe 500 or so get a Jubilant crystal and maybe some lucky Summoner pulls Punisher from that pool. All because of some really lazy basta- group of people.

Perhaps this peters out over the next hour. Or maybe it picks up later in the day. Who knows at this point, you people is crazy.

Same as a shiny Pokemon. Looks cool.
