"I've designed" and "I've put prompts into chatGPT" are two very different statements.
The Wii Fit trainers have come a long way.
Re: Tomorrow's titan roll over
compensation will arrive in 300 essentia bursts for 40 weeks
Re: Let's have a genuine, honest conversation Kabam
Everything they do is VERY deliberate and surprising to most people: VERY thought out.
They are shifting the game back toward a monetization focus at an alarming rate (which last year they prided themselves on doing the opposite btw) and continuously attempting and failing to hide it by disguising it as either doing us a favor, something good, or as some kind of advantage.
Just look at new champion ascension it's the most obvious, in your face example with a huge middle finger to the community. They know what theyre doing and they dont care
Re: Let's have a genuine, honest conversation Kabam
It's almost as if kabaam is sitting there going how far can we push our users before they quit?!? I know I have often thought is this worth the time, effort and occasionally $ to play. They don't really care about user experience anymore it's all about how much they can suck out of us
Let's have a genuine, honest conversation Kabam
1. The rollout was horrendous, removing all the other stores with no real warning, the traders outpost not updating at the same time was just concerning and I can put this down to a bug maybe they were supposed to land together
2. The purchases within the stores, some of them are just pitiful but don't harm anyone, 1 6* sig stone a week is laughable, 5 signets is terrifying... That won't even cover 2 BG matches so was you expecting people to spend units here? Not to mention the traders outpost and having less availability there than before.
3. The glory situation, you know people have glory in overflow and even if we didn't, glory from last week and the coming week is a lot more than the petty 400 a week trade in, so we were always going to have it expire so you just wanted to watch earned resources disappear?
4. The raids tickets, this a huge decision you made, this was not a mistake it was intentional. Use a 3rd of our Essentia or 1000 units is outrageous, this is nothing but greed and inconsideration for the actual game itself, if this hadn't changed I know that most allies would not have touched Raids this week. This was disgusting.
After the last 2-years have so many problems, issues and general bad decision this is truly the cherry on top. We all saw you scrambling away in the background, changing things after seeing everyone's reactions and even now the changes haven't all implemented, there's still a Glory cap so I can't claim my radiance and the only thing I can spend Glory on now is raid tickets... I have over 800, I don't need more
I really hope, for the sake of this game, we get a real response to this, not more ****
Kabam makes me feel foolish
We watch the livestreams every month and we buy into the hupe, I get excited about new champs, new game modes, new QoL changes, and in this instance, the idea of a new currency in a new store.
I was excited about converting all of my battlegrounds token, Glory, loyalty etc into the new currency to spend on rank up materials and maybe some previously unavailable items.
And then we see the new store.
Cap limits on currency conversion. While we're still being rewarded with the old currencies.
Such a massive let down.
Thanks for making me feel so stupid for getting excited Kabam.
This will not be forgotten and it will absolutely have an impact on me for every new announcement into the future.
I don't like feeling stupid. You made me feel stupid.
Re: Why is the essentia conversion stuff limited
Imagine if the titan crystal after the rollover tomorrow was limited to 100k shards spendable per week, in order to “reduce competitive advantage from hoarders.” That’s exactly what limiting the conversion feels like.
Re: Why is the essentia conversion stuff limited
the update is a step in the right direction s but it's not enough. You're locking our earned currencies. Let people buy what they want. There are already purchase limits. Let us convert everything we have up to 100k essentia and let us spend it how we like. Whats the sense is drip feeding us back our own currencies that we earned! It's madness. If someone wants to buy out the store, let them! I guarantee you it won't happen because 1) half the items are overpriced and 2) people buy what they need and then wait for the reset the following week. That's why purchase limits exist. It makes no sense to also have currency conversion limits. This is an easy win for you guys. Get rid of the currency conversion limits and take the w
Essentia - In response to Rex's update
What you said
The design of the Trade-In system is intended for there to be a steady drip of Essentia over time, to support the shift to Essentia, so that Summoners with a large stack of outdated resources don't get a major surplus of resources on day 1 compared to those who don't.
My response
Why does it matter? There is a limit to how much Essentia we can hold, as well as a limit to how many of each item is available. Even if someone bought every item on week 1 - how much can they truly progress? And, how many weeks would they be able to continue do this? And once there stashes are converted and spent on Essentia, they're gone - which is something you should want right? Rather than have these old currencies floating around 2+ years down the line, which is how long its going to take at the current rates.
What you said
The trade-in values for Essentia are a bonus on top of the consistent sources you earn from engagement areas where you earned your previous resources.
My response
If this is truly a bonus why take away the existing stores? I earned these resources and should have a choice as, when and how to use them. You've taken that away and are forcing me to convert them to Essentia at an alarmingly slow rate. Therefore I see "no bonus" but rather "no option but to" convert.
For example with Incursion Artifacts. If someone wanted the 7* Artifact Crystal, they would need to save 400K. This is not hoarding. This is a grind which takes time and several incursion events. Someone with +/- 400K now has no option but to convert to Essentia before they can make use of a resource they have worked hard to obtain. How long will this conversion take at the current rates allowed - over a year!!!! That is ridiculous and so unfair!
To summarise -
You're preventing people from using hard earned resources as and when they would like and trying to disguise it as "doing us a favour" by "allowing" us to trade it in as a "bonus" whilst creating a bottleneck in an attempt to throttle how much essentia is being obtained/ spent.
In my opinion -
1) Remove conversion limits or set them way way way higher.
2) Bring back the old stores for next few months, and run them alongside Essentia. This will allow people to spend their resources in those stores now that you've "shown your cards" on Essentia. If people still have resources to convert after this time, they'll be able do so.
Re: This fix is a start, but not enough
Could Kabam not have sent out an in-game message weeks ago: “You have until March 9 at 9:00 am PST to spend your artifact, loyalty, glory, and battleship currencies. At that time, those stores will close.”? We would have spent our stockpiles. Like the post states, that remains the problem. I have 517,490 artifacts. I will not be able to trade that in by the time the timer expires.
