Best Of
Energy
So I've tried my best to stay positive during this extremely rough couple of back to back months. This energy decision is the first thing I've seen that genuinely stunned me. I understand excess energy refills are expiring for a lot of players, myself included. Here's The Thing (It's Clobbering Time), why is that an issue? The last thing the game needs right now is for players to be locked behind 0 energy refills. When quests take 5 energy per tile and there's damn 4-5 tiles in between fights, how is that fun? I understand wanting to keep players engaged and keep logging in to get more, but wouldn't it be better to let players play the content they want based off their resource management?
I'm not sure I understand the logic behind removing the energy refills from 4-Hour crystals completely. Buffing the revive drop rate, great I like that. That's what we use those crystals for primarily that was a correct statement. However, removing refills entirely? Like that just makes so little sense to me. There are dozens of things that could be removed/changed before this. Prime example: Arena Boosts. The amount of shards we get for solo crystals is absolutely insane, and the amount of crystals we can open with them is far beyond any energy refills going to waste. I consistently buy the energy refill card bc it's so convenient and useful to not have to worry about energy costs. That being said, most I ever have in the overflow is 5-10 max. In an attempt to get sig stones for unique 2* champions, I opened a large majority of my lesser crystals and now have 3k+ arena boosts that are going to expire. Hundreds of XP boosts that aren't usable for my account level due to refined XP.
Maybe I'm overreacting but I've tried my best to stay positive during these rough times we've had lately, and just off the initial reading of the post, this makes the least amount of sense of EVERYTHING that's happened in the past 40-60 days. Patiently waiting for more info to hopefully prove me wrong, but if changes like these play the way I think they will, this could seriously be a game ender for the large majority of players still logging on every day.
Re: Supply strike issue
But are you surprised that you're having issues though? I mean, let's talk Kabam 2025. All the bugs, all the issues, nearly everything a disaster, and now they can't even let us get into content before it unlocks. Honestly insane.
Re: Let’s talk crashed
At the end of the day, one thing I think everyone can agree on, regardless of how they're behaving, is that we're all here because we love this game and that we want it to succeed.
The definition of success shifts depending on where you are in the MCOC food chain. To the community, success is based on feel; to Kabam as a company, success is most likely based on metrics.
When something is announced like this, energy and elders' marks change, and the community goes, "This feels really bad, and we don't like this." Then you guys go, "Well, we can see the data, and this is for the best."
There's a real disconnect there, which creates a lot of tension between the two groups very frequently these days, and having the two main sides of the coin battling like that is not healthy for the game at all. I hope everyone can agree on that.
It's no denying that the amount of contact we have as a community with the game devs and teams is a privilege, especially compared to other games and companies; however, since we do have that privilege, it should be used to its best potential, and currently it really is not and to the community it constantly feels like everyone is butting heads with you guys, we say one thing and then you do the opposite, ex: the prestige and eq changes.
I think that in order for the game we all love to succeed, there should be some kind of middle ground between "we feel this way" and "well, I understand that, but this is how it is." I don't know what that would look like in the long or even short term, but having more points of transparency, feedback, and communication from both sides could help propel the game forward.
i'm rambling now so maybe someone can see what i'm trying to say and pick it up from there. We just all want the game to succeed, the community would love to work together with kabam in some capacity to help faciliate that but currently, no matter how much we hear from you guys, we feel ignored and unheard most of the time. That should change
Re: Is Zola comp enough
It’s a big part of the frustration. If you opened up all of your crystals when the Titan rolled over to the new champ pool, you were opening a crystal that had inferior champs in it. Instead of just compensating this group, they extended the compensation to everyone after who opened up a Titan after Zola was added back into the pool. The explanation from @Kabam (Osaurus) Rex in his compensation post is to extend it to everyone even if you weren’t affected by having to open a worse crystal. It just shorts those of us who did open all of their Titans with no chance of potentially acquiring Zola.
In the past, they have set precedent that if you weren’t affected by Kabam’s errors you received no benefit. Everyone remembers when they opened Nightmare Raids and it was bugged and so they shut it all down and gave full map rewards plus refunded all the Raid tickets to anyone affected. Anyone who played regular Raids or who hadn’t joined the bugged Nightmare Raids yet before they closed them was left shafted.
That smaller group of people who jumped into the Nightmare Raids that Kabam screwed up received justifiable compensation. No one else did. Now those of us who opened an inferior Titan crystal are given the same rewards as those who opened a better crystal. Just very inconsistent way to deal with things by Kabam.
Re: Is Zola comp enough
this would have been a wayyy different response if Nico/ Dean was missing…
Arenas nerf incoming?
That means EQ/SQ were nerfed and just today/yesterday, Battlegrounds will be nerfed from November by removing entry via elder marks.
This all leads to everyone farming energy from Arenas.
So Arenas nerf also coming?

Re: MCOC ONCE AGAIN AT THE CROSSROADS
Nice to get some interaction and acknowledgment of what most of us have been seeing for the past couple of months. Much appreciated.
What’s the status, then, of providing remedy for the myriad of issues hitting us on a regular basis? I realize nerfing the EQ is one of the responses, but has there been some relief provided that I’ve missed?
Not trying to be obtuse, and I may have missed something since I’ve been playing only here and there recently. Just an honest question…

Re: MCOC ONCE AGAIN AT THE CROSSROADS
Thanks for the response @Kabam Crashed. Even in rough times, consistent communication goes a long way—it’s really all the playerbase asks for to feel connected.
