One question for you @WednesdayLength, do you believe all players can hit the 285,000 mark without doing the AW Showcase related points and Nightmare raids? Just curious and if so please let me know. This realm event seems different than prior ones where the entire community could honestly get the top rewards and then the rank rewards is what distinguished between players.

No, because they're not supposed to. If you want or new the absolute top tier of rewards you shouldn't expect to get them without doing big content. This showcase is probably the easiest one we've had so far by the way

One point I would argue with is the notion of “big content.”

We can only do the content that’s in front of us, and whether that’s big enough or not isn’t really in our control. Sure, the Showcase and Gauntlet aren’t really bad but they aren’t really “big” compared to things like Carina’s or WoF or Necro. They’re just the latest incarnation of “harder” content.

As for top tier rewards being only available to players who compete the hardest content available, I agree with you—you should not get it all for less.

But I also think there’s a bit of a gap in the Realm event where a player who does everything except Raids finds himself at or below the 6* nexus crystal or even 6* saga sig stone milestones.

Obviously Kabam feels differently, but those aren’t anywhere near top rewards for players who can do everything else except Raids. There is decent stuff along the way, but the breakdown seems disproportionately weighted against non-Raids players and alliances.

If anything disappoints me about a “Realm” event, that’s it.

Edit: I will add that I am at the “1665 points every other day” part of this month with a 465 points from DSE day in between. That lasts for the rest of the month until August content drops. Adding points to my Realm score will be slow for the next few weeks, which kind of exemplifies the event design issues.

Over the next few days we will have the opportunity to vote on Winter Soldier (I respect the attempt) Black Widow (who already has two other powerful variants, plus BW would likely be an evade based defender) and then the obvious main headliners, GR and Loki.

Now I’m not going to argue against Ghost Rider being a solid pick. I get that he looks awesome, has great comic book lore, and even though we already have two other Ghost Riders in the game (one of whom is a mystic that would likely clear the exact same content), none of these are relevant counter arguments. Nobody is going to say “Hey let’s have LESS Hercules and Hyperion attackers!” Because these champs are fun.

But… buffing Loki would give Kabam the opportunity to undo a lot of the damage that has been caused by the overpowered and annoying defenders amongst the Cosmic, Mutant, AND mystic classes. Think about a champion that we have used in niche situations to take down horrible bosses in story content just because of his abilitiy to weaponize the nonsense of the AI right back against it. I think it’s especially important considering the fact that Loki is so directly paired with the Serpent and Enchantress (two of the most controversial champions that have EVER been released).

One of the things that make these new defenders so difficult to CONTROL is the fact that power and buff stealing has never been given a modernized overhaul mechanic.

Rogue had the chance of being the first OG character with the ability to rip the annoying buffs and passives off of the faces of her opponents last year but she lost. Doctor strange actually lost before she did. Now we have the opportunity to request the literal “God of Stories” who could easily have access to ability accuracy reduction, stagger, frost and coldsnap immunity, and most importantly the ability to steal UNIQUE buffs… so once again we’re being asked to vote between the sure thing (Ghost rider becoming the next purgatory, a top 12 mystic attacker with strong DoT and a bunch of immunities) which is fair.

Or maybe we can take more of a risk and actually vote for a champion that would be designed to take a complicated defender and for once give the player the ability to control them, bending them to our will, ignoring the unblockable-unstoppable-unphasable-unavoidable nonsense that has plagued the champ deck for the last 2 years. I guess we’ll see what happens next.

Kabam crashed look at this on Wednesday I was in good rhythm to get to 200 points and I was at 182 points but I encountered with this modder and I lost and it broke my rhythm and I was never able to get to 200 points even after playing 7 hours that day because I was having mind diversion after that match and I was thinking everyone modder and was choosing fast attackers than defenders
And because of this for the first time I wasn't able to get my 10k raidiance since it's launched I was thinking to contact support for this issue but then I realised what will support do if I didn't even claim the objective in first go 😞
Also the last minute server issue that could have also been part of many players losing their radiance if they are near the end of 200 points
Pls kabam crashed do something for this type of problems occuring time to time it just kills the fun of playing this mode

@Kabam Crashed it's the same guy who cheated against me he just changed his name but I lost points and chance to get 10k raidiance while Lagacy didn't lose any points
Don't you think it's unfair to me and others who lost against this modder?
